"Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week 12
« on: Nov 19th, 2003, 3:43pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

"Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" are simply to be ONE player from each of the FIVE skill positions, QB, RB, TE, WR, PK.  Just list ONE for each position, no stats projections necessary.  Let's keep it simple for the newbies! You may offer up TWO groups, one more of the "stud" variety and one consisting of players better-termed as "sleepers."  I actually encourage you all to do this if you have the time.  I will give the basic template/pattern I want you to use.  Again, PLEASE follow it closely for the newbies. THANKS!

Here is the pattern to follow (cut and paste it if need be):

QB - ...
RB - ...
WR - ...
TE - ...
PK - ...

(Of course, the addition of SMILIES is always cool! )

Here is a link to last week's if you are interested:

Enjoy, fellaz!

  STUDS

QB     McNair/Holcome    I just had to slash this. Mcnair
should be big after the Titans have
had a couple of relatively quiet
weeks. Holcome is hot and is hot
vs the Steelers (too hot for a
         sleeper)

RB     P. Holmes  axious to rebound.

WR     Terrell Owens has had groin problems, skipping
        early week practices. Should feel
better and GB will keep the
pressure on all game to produce.

TE   Dallas Clark  With some Harrison appearences/
distraction on the field, this is the
       week he studs.

Kicker   Kasay

    SLEEPERS

QB   Tim Rattay

RB    Ricky Williams  (sleeper?)  You always start him but
this week he actually does well!
       Danger! desperate area!
       Thomas Jones (really sleepy) One
       week wonder or lenghty audition
near the end of the year because
       of Pittman's legal problems.
       Kevin Faulk (super sleeepy) May
spend some time playing WR this
       week.

WR   Tyrone Calico   see McNair under studs
Jerry Porter     even Mirer can throw a TD.

TE    Boo Williams     automaticly dismissed by fantasy
experts but this guy has had nice
        games before.

Kicker    Sebass   vs KC

Sorry, I know, no comments but I really can't resist. Delete me if you must.
I also really like Walker Boh's WR Sleeper Marty Booker. This week the Bear's coaches have been working on having Chandler rollout vs working from the shotgun. Chandler doesn't like the shotgun as it takes his eyes off the defense and is more comfortable under center. Not much of a difference mind you but maybe enough to give Booker a better shot at a nice game.

It's all good, Coachnorm!  It's really just more that I don't want dudes to feel like they have to put comments.  I kind of just want to keep it simple, not just for the newbies, but also for us.  I don't want dudes to think this is too much work to be doin' (moreover, on a weekly basis) and then not participating.  I ultimately want to make this thing "participation-friendly" if you follow.  Thank you for being so understanding, though!
