"Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week 11
« on: Nov 17th, 2004, 6:04pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

"Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" are simply to be ONE player from each of the FIVE skill positions, QB, RB, TE, WR, PK.  Just list ONE for each position, no stats projections necessary.  Let's keep it simple for the newbies! You may offer up TWO groups, one more of the "stud" variety and one consisting of players better-termed as "sleepers."  I actually encourage you all to do this if you have the time.  I will give the basic template/pattern I want you to use.  Again, PLEASE follow it closely for the newbies. THANKS!

Here is the pattern to follow (cut and paste it if need be):

QB - ...
RB - ...
WR - ...
TE - ...
PK - ...

(Of course, the addition of SMILIES is always cool! )

Here is a link to last week's if you are interested:

Enjoy, fellaz!

Studs:

QB: how can you NOT pick Peyton?
WR: how can you NOT pick TO?
RB: Willis McGahee (he's playing a team that gives up 130 yards per game)
TE: my boy Eric Johnson, or Antonio Gates (can't ignore him)
K: after the past two weeks, you HAVE to pick Adam Vinatieri

Sleepers:

QB: Brian Griese is posed for a big week
WR: Michael Clayton, a la Brian Griese
RB: Ahman Green (I hate to call him a sleeper, though)
TE: Daniel Graham against a KC defense
K: Matt Stover, with a one-dimensionsal Baltimore offense against a very shaky Dallas D

Washouts:

One caveat: you could insert a Redskin player into any of these spots.

QB: Patrick Ramsey.  He's starting against PHILLY?
WR: Jerry Porter
RB: Portis.  He's good, but they're going to fall behind so quickly that he'll be non-existent by the second quarter.
TE: Chris Baker/Anthony Becht.  Jets passing game has fallen off the face of the planet.
K: John Hall, or whoever the Washington kicker is.
