Wow... no love for Ahman Green.  I wish he would fall this far in my drafts.  (Of course I've landed the #3 slot in both of my drafts this season and LT2 was sitting there for me both times.)

It's hard to argue with Deuce at #4, and the top three are pretty obvious picks. Deuce accounted for over 40% of the New Orleans offense last year. That's a pretty big chunk and he should score some major points again this year.

Regarding Ahman Green at #7, I don't think it is preposterous at all.  Even though they would not necessarily be arguments with which I would side, I could certainly make arguments for all the guys ahead of him on our list.  And, in any event, I like independent thinkers.  We don't want our list to be ridiculous, but we also do not want to merely produce a photocopy of what else is already out there.

You mean Deuce might even score more than 8 times in 2004?!?  Wow!  I'm surprised he didn't go first overall.

Sorry for the sarcasm... I just think Deuce is getting a lot of undue hype this off-season.

"FFC prediction - The Saints offense breaks the Vikings single season scoring record. Helped by the "Perfect Fantasy Storm" of playing in a dome, a poor defense and tremendous talent and speed at the skill positions the Saints become the highest scoring team in the NFL. Deuce McAllister proved he warranted our #2 ranking last year and stepped into the elite RB crowd. All Pro WR Joe Horn proved he can play well even when hurt and Boo Williams emerged as a legitimate weapon at TE. Throw in Donte Stallworth breaking out this year in his 3rd season and you have some of the best receiving options in the NFL. We look for the young burner to top 1200 yards with potential double digit TD's. Aaron Brooks will throw for 30+TDs and still get no respect from fantasy owners for his occasional lack luster performance. However 30 TD's still won't be enough to land him in the Pro Bowl as McNabb and Vick garner all of the NFC votes."

Gawd, hope they're right this time!

Undue in what way? IMO he's just coming into his prime and should be "top level" for the next few years. Either way, if I were picking at #7, I'd be very happy to find either Green or Deuce there.

I'd certainly take Deuce at #7 if he was there.  I just see lots of drafts where he is the #3 RB behind the Padre and LT2.

The predicitions about the Saints could have been made last year too, but Deuce failed to get it done in the red zone.

I'm not a Deuce hater... I just think he is overrated.  If he's a top tier RB (he's very close in my book), he's at the bottom of that tier.

While I would find it difficult to rank Deuce ahead of Portis at #3, I do think he's a legitimate candidate for #4 (as is Green). But, as I have both Portis and Deuce on my team this year, I'm hoping Deuce really tears it up and scores some MAJOR points! Yes, I would like to see him score more than 8 TD's, but I think an improving New Orleans Offense will help keep defenses honest and give Deuce more opportunities at the goal line. I hope.

I say, "LET'S DO IT!"  Let's plan to do it in increments of 25, i.e., let's shoot for 125, then 150 and so on, hopefully getting to 200... and perhaps even beyond!!!

Wow, you guys kick a&s ! I can't believe this is done already.

Steg, should we go to 150 ?  I think 150-200 is relevant because that range corresponds with a typical 12 team 15 round draft, but I think beyond 150 gets kind of challenging (especially for me, as I would spaz out and draft duplicate players).

Hey Steg,

Yes, I saw the discussion, I'm thinking 150 would be great for publishing sake.  Obviously, if you would like to continue past 150 to 200 and then on to hockey players and NASCAR drivers, I could put that up too but I'm fine with 150.

BTW, I like your new team reports, they look awesome.
