What a nightmare!!! Some jackass out there aimed a death ray at us,... and it almost took us out... Only problem,... they underestimated the Steg... Anyway, EVERY single little detail that I know of has been restored,... and I've updated news items, as well. But,... right now,... fellas,... I'm burnt... physically... and emotionally... My personal home page is the GBRFL home page, and when I saw in "the Gridiron" preview box thread titles like "Where Did The Red Zone Go!", "Lost Private Messages", and "What is wrong with the site?", my heart BOTH sunk... AND was beating out of my chest... Right now, I'm just happy it's over... Back to... ... ... and maybe just a couple hours of...

No. But, if I were ever to find out,... ... Actually, who knows how "targeted" these "attacks" really are? These kinds of a-holes just look for an opening wherever they can and strike. The attack could have been against our hosting company, Hostica, for all we know or maybe just random. THAT SAID, as evidence to the contrary, neither theEnglishMaster.com nor any of the other domains I have related to either venture were zapped, ONLY FantasyFootballer.com... Anyway, I thank those who have posted here for your kind words of support... I need it... This was NO picnic...

| Primer,... everybody,... this is not really up to me. In this respect, we are at the mercy of (whoever) our hosting company (is) AND, moreover, the reality that we are on a shared server. Plugging things up, so to speak, is not something I control. That's on the shoulders of the techies of our hosting company. Until we get this place to where I am hosting it or we are, at least, on a dedicated server, i.e. a host server dedicated just to us, in other words, until enough cash is rolling in, there is a chance we can get zapped, a chance which the old Stegger here can do absolutely NOTHING to prevent. My hands are tied (by fiscal reality). If I am "put" in a position to be able to, i.e. if my hands are cut free (from these economic chains), you guys know we'd be in better hands. Anyway,... that's the "bigger picture". For now,... , right? And, let's make that four fingers crossed that this does not happen during the season, when it would REALLY suck, and/or when I am SO busy that I am not even frequenting the site (like has been the case most of this offseason thus far) so as to pick this kind of shit off in the early stages (like what "luckily" happened to happen this time around).

Guys and Gals, we got problems yet again!!! I need this like I need a fuckin' hole in my head... Anyway, I am backing things up right now, first and foremost board files, thread files and member-profile files. Right now, the php stuff is not working again (to see what I mean, visit either of the GBRFL league home pages or the "Add 'the Gridiron' to your site" page; this is how the St. Patty's Day Nightmare began, actually ), and I notice that when you go to post (I believe only to threads for which there are requests for automatic e-mail notifications), it gives some error message (instead of bringing you back to the thread). In fact, though, your message has been posted. What I would recommend right now is that you PROCEED WITH CAUTION until I've indicated we're in the clear! I'm not going to say, "Don't use the site." But, I am not going to contact the Hostica technicians until I have all the "vital" stuff backed up. So, that means: a) you will likely experience problems at least between now and then, perhaps problems of increasing severity, perhaps problems that create/activate further problems (like if this is a virus known as a worm), b) you may likely cause problems with/corrupt your profile specifically, and c) any posts you make between now and when all is well again could get lost in the shuffle if we end up having to rely on backup files. This is just a heads up! I would just keep it to REALLY IMPORTANT posts until further notice, and I would not use the private message system during this time. Thank you for your anticipated understanding and patience.
