I love the "multi functional smiley!!!!  I now will be able to bring special attention to when I totally go off topic.

I DIGRESS...
Isn't it supposed to be "off the beaten track"?  As in...taking a path that is not beaten down when hiking?  As in taking the path less taken?  Going off the norm?  I am not sure, as I am just a history major.

WOW!  Finally found a source on this.  I have considered them both like you.  I read it as "beat" as in regular route, like a policeman's beat, thus, "beat and track".  HOWEVER, the source I found confirms that it is, in fact, "beaten track" as you state.  Thanks for bringing that up, DD. Will be fixed in a jiffy! However, I will probably change it to something totally different as "Off the beaten track" really doesn't capture the purpose of this.

It's pretty easy to find the new ones when you actually use them in a post, Steg.  But finding all of them is simple... just look at the end of the alphabet.

Yea, that's one of the few (back-end) downfalls of the YaBB system if you want to have a ton of smilies and want to organize/present them in the neatest way possible. I'm not going to be adding anything in the "a's" unless YaBB solves this (which I don't think they will be moved to as most people don't want these many smilies and are satisfied with the method they developed for adding smilies quickly (which is not good enough for my picky, attention-to-detail perfectionist nature)).

I was just today introduced to a new wellspring of smilies by our esteemed Jeff West.  Like a kid in a candy shop, I went wild.  I couldn't help myself...  So, though I thought this was a project surely winding down, it is going to wind back up here in a bit for a bit!  I have not added any new ones yet.  They'll be a really good handful (of some really clever and useful ones) when I do.

For those keen observers, I have already made one change.  Hmmmm...

Something I was UNABLE to do when I was in Korea back in '02 (the last time I tried this), when I was adding these things like a madman, probably because I was on a cable modem (and there was that update issue we've discussed in the past, where you don't realize the site updates immediately), I just finally tried again as the group I was adding was pretty big.  This time it WORKED!  It reduced what would have amounted to a 25+-hour job to about a 5+-hour job, which I just finished!  WHEW!  MOREOVER, it allowed me to reorganize some of the smilies I was forcing into the back end of the list out of sheer necessity (as I have explained before).  E.g., now "clown" is "clown", not "you're an f'n clown", which I had made it because I wanted it to start with the letter "y" to keep it at the end of the list.  SO, besides ALL the NEW smilies (and other emoticons) I added, there is also a bit more sense to the way they are ordered.  I hope you enjoy them,... the undisputed, I think, single greatest collection of smilies boasted by any message-board forum on the net!

Of the ones already guessed at, these are new:

You guys got 28 of them.  I added 31 new ones in all!  So, there are still 3 of them (and there are... I checked) you guys have not gotten!  One of those three I got specifically at your request (a long time ago), Jeff!

This one, , Jeff, is the changed one!

And, did you guys get a load of the name of this one, ? ... And, how about the name of this one, ? ...

...

Thanks you SO MUCH, KKS, for the kind words of support.  I appreciate your making it known that you appreciate my efforts.  That having been said, with specific regards to this "project", don't expect much more, especially in light of the MAJOR life changes I am about to undergo.  It is a VERY time-consuming process adding these (at this point), especially vis-a-vis the "importance" of it.  But, I hope you all enjoy ALL 269 of them that we currently have!

Spotted them earlier today as I was looking for a Colts-appropriate icon.  (Not sure I got the best one, but anyway...)

Great job, Philster! You were once again, right on the mark!

I did change your Colts message icon in "the Red Zone" to the one I've been using for the Colts.  It's simply all about the colors.

Well, it's been a long time since we ditzed around with this.  You guys have been so good the last year that I thought I'd give yous a treat.  I've gone and gotchyas some new toys to tinker with, 60 to be exact!!!

Also, there are a couple that got a make-over...  One is an oldie that has underwent a second make-over.  The second one is one that never received a greeting ceremony here on this thread.  In any event, it has been greatly improved from when it was quietly brought aboard a few weeks ago.

There is actually one other one that was never greeted here.  By special request, it was added about midway through the '04 season.

...

So, my little Gridironers, can you come up with these 63
(= 60 (brand-new ones) + 2 (make-overs) + (the) 1 (added back mid-season))???  Go and search, my Gridiron cohorts!!! ...

Here are some new ones that KKS missed:

Is this a new one?   ???

This is the one that got a little lovin'...

This one was added earlier without any fanfare...

Why do I think this one will get lots of use by Killer in his Insane League thread?

I count 59 of the new ones from KKS and Philly's posts.  You are missing one, and I know which one it is.

The following ones are NOT new:

Philly got the oldie that got the make-over!

But, he did not get the new one that came in without fanfare and got a make-over...   is NOT correct.

Also, the one that came in "unceremoniously" during last season was not gotten.

So, THERE ARE THREE LEFT FOR YOUS TO FIND!!!  One final new one, the kind of new one that got the make-over, and another one that came in unacknowledged last season.  Good luck!!!

And, yes, KKS, we get to keep 'em ALL!!!
