Oops, my bad.  From the title of this thread, I thought someone was selling drunk bodyguards or drunk security forces or something . . .

I can't tell a lie here...  I'm at a loss. I don't really understand the joke, or at least the specific joke, being made here... Pardon my ignorance, but, please, do tell...

Far be it from me to make fun of anyone when it comes to spelling, punctuation and grammar. Wait, that's not true. Dan, you suck. BTW, from what I can tell you have 6 or 7 sots available for trade.

And any truth to the rumors you introduced purple drank to JaMarcus?

We will see, Mark I hope you enjoyed your glory the past few years because you are done, start the rebuilding. You did a good job by ripping DB off with getting Romo. My team is a hell of a lot better then few years ago, we will see what happens.

LOL! BUT, Mark, that still doesn't explain the stuff about drunk security guards and stuff.  I got Ravenous T's general joke. It is the specifics that I'm lost about. HELP!

Here's my interpretation of the joke.

A "sot" is a reference to someone who is drunk.

Perhaps intertwined with the word "protection", it could be inferred that a bodyguard or a security force offers such protection. Hence a "protection sot"

Did I nail it? Did I?

Mark, you may want to stick to knock knock jokes with this crowd.

Thank you, Francis!  You learn something new every day...  I was just about to ask, since when did "sot" come be used as a word for drunkard?  I decided to crack my dictionary first, though, and, lo and behold, there it was. What do ya know,... ya bunch of fuckin' sots?!

Frank got it right.

The joke was kind of a stretch, but I did expect most of you to get it.
