Title: Trade Talks
Post by DB on Jun 7th, 2012, 2:07pm
We need to start a trade talk discussion, so I will start it off.

I have good QBs to trade.  Everyone even Rodgers can be had for the right price.  Though for Rodgers I would need you to start with a top 5 RB.  Also, I probably won't trade Freeman unless I get a great deal.

Bradford, Locker, and Flynn are all very tradeable.

I am also looking for a 2 for 1 trade (2 of mine for 1 of yours).

I am also interested in protection spots for this year as well as lottery picks.

Shoot me an email if you have any ideas.

Let me add my "Classified Ad"...  Not that any player/D on my roster is not tradable at the right price, but whom I see as having decent value in today's fantasy game and I think is in a position to be quite gettable from me is RB Darren Sproles, who is a sort of low #2/#3 running back in our system.  What I am looking for in return is anything but a receiver, and I suppose I also do not really think I need any more protection spots (I have 13).  I also am not really looking for a RB-for-RB trade, though I would surely entertain a (lesser) running back as a complement to another player in, say, a 2-for-1 deal.  What I am most interested in is a quarterback; secondarily, believe it or not (knowing me), a draft pick.  Pop me a PM if you are interested.

I'm shocked you are interested in a qb with Terrell Pryor on your roster. Yiou made it clear he was your future star?

Heyas, guys...  A protection spot may be gettable off me.  I will be driving a bit of a hard bargain.  I want a high 2nd-rounder or reasonable 1st-rounder.  The draft lottery does not come until after the cut downs, I understand, but the bottom line is that there is a certain pick number below which I do not want to go.  Anyway, if interested, pop me a PM or reply right here...

I'm also looking for a protection spot, willing to give my second rounder if there are any takers? I know Parson has only three players about that should be protected but knowing him and his gm skills, he is probably looking for protection spots himself.

Looking to move Steve Smith for a 1st rounder.  Will probably take a 2nd rounder plus a protection spot.

The guy only had 1400 yards last year and is the only option with Cam Newton throwing.

Title: Re: 2012 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by DB on Aug 20th, 2012, 7:10am
As of now, I am cutting Stevie Johnson, Deangelo Williams, and Jahvid Best.

Let me know if you want them.  I think they are better than some of the players kept.  I think Johnson is ranked as a top 25 receiver and Williams should have 900+ yards in that offense.  Best has good upside but has not returned from concussion yet.

Let me know.  I would imagine that these guys would be the first to go after the top rookies.

Now Danny, I said I paid a 2nd for him and would want that and more back for him, or a player.
Otherwise he is worth more to me on my roster.
He is clearly a mid-low #3, bye week filler, long term guy, but I have interest in whomever is throwing to Fitzy.

Seeking a WR who is actually playing this week based on my unbelievably crappy receiver situation in week 10, I STILL need a WR.   (3 WR on bye)

Chargers, who are #9 in the league in yards per game and #8 in points per game are available for a trade.  Send me an IM or contact me via cell if you are interested.

I am also willing to trade f/a picks, draft picks, etc.....

I'll give you your choice between Lance Moore or Brian Hartline for Nick Foles. Both those guys are solid despite not a sexy name. I'm out of this thing so I'll take the risk of Maybe Foles in the future for a guy won will help you win now.

Am interested in an extra free-agent pick this week (Week 12)...  Anybody?  Holiday and the timing is going to make getting a deal done very difficult, though, I must admit.  I will be headed to bed in about an hour, and probably will not wake up until well into the first Thanksgiving Day game.  So, if you are up early here, see this and are interested, private-message me or feel free to post right here, but whatever you do, do it pronto.  Both 1st- and 2nd-rounders welcome!  Well, here's to hoping... It is because all Joe wants to offer is his downward-trending and/or low-upside garbage, such as: Brandon Weeden, Mikel Leshoure, Cecil Shorts, T.Y. Hilton.

Here is how trading with Joe goes, in a nutshell...  He offers you garbage like the aforementioned for real players on your roster.  You counter, reasonably, by expressing interest in his real players.  He indicates that he does not want to move any of them and proceeds to offer you a different configuration of garbage again for real players.  And, around in circles you go...

Yes I am trying to upgrade from my top 30 WR to get another top 20 WR. I offer a top 40 RB to go along with him. I figured since Steg lost C. Benson as his #3, but gained Ivory as a #3, may have some interest.

And for Warner, well Leshore backs up Reggie Bush  who always has inj ???s, so I thought he may have some interest, but hell him getting Cruz, PITT DEF PLUS a pro spot for Mendy and a pick, that works for both teams.

Heyas, fellas...  Just wanted to let yous know that I am willing to move my #10 pick of the draft.  It may have to be a draft-day deal as I may want to see what exactly falls to me, but I am surely willing to move it for the right deal.  One thing I may be willing to do that may be appealing to you is move back.  But, please do not be ridiculous.  What I could be willing to do is the #10 pick for a couple mid-to-late 2nd-rounders/early 3rd-rounders.  My return pick to even out such a deal would be one of my late, late ones.

Anyway, just a heads up...  If you want to pop me a message, feel free to do so.  Otherwise, see yous on Sunday...

Let me add another dimension to trade possibilities with me...  REMEMBER the first week of free-agency does NOT go by the lottery.  It simply follows the final standings of the prior season, worst to first.  As such, I have the often VERY valuable first pick of free-agency Week 1.  I am willing to deal it as part of a bigger deal or standalone, and, unlike with draft picks, no compensatory free-agent pick in return is required!

I want to preface that I am not picking on anybody here.  However, I have received inquiries about the availability of my quarterbacks.  Almost invariably these messages come with the disclaimer that what is being sought is just a "filler" quarterback.  What is obviously being communicated by these guys is that they do not want to give up too much.  Thing is, your needing a "filler" QB does not mean the player merely has "filler" value.

That said, I am surely in a position to move a quarterback and definitely in the market for a running back and/or receiver.  Bottom line, I am willing to stand pat, BUT the first person who offers me a good deal that does not require a whole lot of haggling (for which we really do not have time these days) very well has a deal.  I am ripe for a deal, the right deal.  Hit me up!  Private message here on "the Gridiron" is preferable.  All of my quarterbacks, except for Manning I suppose, are available!

who is the rich here? I have been in mourning since the Jones injury but in it to win it and had to make a drastic trade to give myself a shot and keep me in it. These are some things guys like Steve Warner needs to learn to do, why i say he will place 3rd. Good deal for both i think

Title: Re: Trade Talks
Post by DOLFAN on Oct 10th, 2013, 6:32pm
I think it is a great deal for both guys as long as the foot has no future issues. from what I have read on CBS and some other sites, it will just be longer rehab and no serious long term issues.

So Mark gets younger and Feder gets another #1 WR to help him compete this year, plus a 2nd next year...maybe it should have been a 3rd, but that's nit-picking. Both players are studs.

Title: Re: Trade Talks
Post by Travistotle on Oct 10th, 2013, 7:06pm
Don't get me wrong -- it was a good deal for both of you, subjectively.  But what I meant to say was that, objectively, I thought Mark -- the "rich" -- got richer.  Jones is better and younger than Marshall, and a late 2nd rounder isn't worth much.

Two roughly equal players, a healthy one for one out for the rest of the season (and with potentially further future complications).  It is a coup for Danny!  Then, he got a 2nd-rounder, to boot!  If anything, I think a draft pick should have gone Mark's way.

Hmm.  Interesting.  Well, I guess I'll just completely disagree.  I think Julio will be even better in the future, and I think Marshall has peaked.  Marshall is also older.

Again, I do think the move makes sense from Danny's vantage point: he's chasing a championship, and this move isn't a huge roll of the dice.  Still, I don't think Marshall will ever be a top-5 WR, but Julio is/will be.

Obvious caveat: I'm, like, 0-12 on the year, so what do I know?

Steve, you are going to have to explain this one.  Did we not talk about the KC defense two weeks ago, possibly for a starting QB?  A high draft pick would have been no problem.

Then without notice you wait until an hour before kick-off and post that you are now cutting them?  I assume there is a reasonable explanation.

Funny, because we talked about me needing a QB and you traded one today.    ;)

Anyways,  we talked 49ers Defense.   Not KC defense.   Candidly, look at their remaining schedule, you would of started them MAYBE 2 games.  They play the Chargers and Chiefs twice.   I would of called, but you traded Bradford today, leaving you 3 QBs on your roster.

I was not planning on dropping them UNTIL I submitted my line up.   I wanted to drop Matt Moore, but if Tannehill gets hurt, I would be screwed.

Hell, I offered the Chiefs to others and there was ZERO interest.   So,  instead of the drop, I get a 4th round pick for them at the last minute.

Finally, there is a method to my madness.   My guess is Joe would trade them to you, however, it is also safer to have Joe have them as he will rarely start them over the Seahawks.  And he would be crazy to trade them to someone in the playoff hunt.

No, we talked about KC and I have 4 QBs after the trade, so you are wrong.  But this is irrelevant as is my trade with Joe.  If the reason for not responding is because I am in the championship hunt, that is somewhat of a valid reason, but almost everyone is in that hunt.

The point is that I have now pointed out 3 times that people are not responding to trade inquiries and then proceeding to make trades without getting max value.  This does not make logical sense to me but no one is obligated to trade with anyone nor is anyone required to get max value on trades, so I will drop it and not complain about it anymore.

Anybody interested in taking a flyer on Terrelle Pryor???  He may not play this week.  Indeed, I am thinking of people who are interested in him as a future prospect, although he could very well be helpful down the stretch this year.

Rashard Mendenhall or Dwayne Bowe could also be had for a bargain.

I am not even talking players back for these guys.  Reasonable draft picks could get the deals done.

Please conduct trade talks with me by "private message" here.  Remember Thursday is a nightmare [smiley=Freddie.gif] for me.  Dealing after 10:30 a.m. my time is virtually impossible.  Indeed, tonight would be better if you happen to be up late.  I will monitor my private messages throughout the evening here my time.

Week 13 (next week) is the trade deadline...  I am looking to make moves...  What do I mean by that?  I have got a list of some intriguing players who can be had for a song...  They are: Darren McFadden, Rashard Mendenhall (traded), Steve Smith and Terrelle Pryor.  What does "a song" mean for me?  A mere Protection Spot, and you are in the ballpark.  Given time constraints, this will very well come down to first come first serve as long as your offer is reasonable.

I am also willing to listen to reasonable offers for, in particular, Marshawn Lynch (traded), Knowshon Moreno and Josh Gordon.  None of them will come cheaply, though.  This is for step-up-to-the-platers, who just want to maybe shake up their rosters.  Bargain hunters, see above!

One other note, private message here on "the Gridiron" is the best way to "deal" with me.  I will say up front that at this time no other mode of communication is guaranteed a response.  Thank you for understanding.

Just to get in the swing of things, [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] encourage some chatter, [smiley=arguing.gif] and perhaps get some of you thinking, [smiley=thinking.gif] I wanted to float this out there...  I am surely in a position to make trades on a couple fronts...

First, regarding the draft, for which we are looking at a late date of August 31st (check the 2014 Summer Meeting & Draft (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=53;action=display;num=1401599223) thread), RIGHT NOW, not even counting what veterans will be available, I see the beginning of the draft as being seven ROOKIES of roughly equivalent value deep.  However, if the one guy who I want in particular is not available come my #6 pick, I will be very open to moving it.  Indeed, on the other hand, I could also be willing to move up to get said guy.

On another front, I am definitely in a position to move a protection spot.  Again, since we are likely looking at a fairly late date, the price is only likely to go up as time goes by.  I am in no rush, but I would be a fool not to admit that I (will probably) have a protection spot to spare.

Anyway, just floating these out there...  Feel free to private-message me about points of discussion and offers... [smiley=wave.gif]

I realize that I am not really the right guy involved in this deal to be saying this AND that I am speaking to the one owner who has ever achieved a threepeat in this league (and won both the League Championship and Super Bowl in one season in the old format) and has six championships overall, two more than anybody else.  Nevertheless, I would assert the following on a few different fronts ranging from making moves tailored to your team [like I did trading a projected superstar-to-be wideout Steve Smith for a filler quarterback like the Bucs' Brian Griese during a (what turned out to be successful) run for a championship or like you did this past season making a trade to acquire Jason Campbell in which you gave up Reuben Randle (although you did get Dwayne Bowe)] to establishing good will with fellow owners (remember, when Rob entered as an expansion owner I handed him Derrick Mason for a mere 2nd-rounder when Mase was just beginning to peak): that it is precisely an aversion to deals lopsided value-wise toward one's trading partner that has prevented some owners from ever winning a championship or even consistently finishing in the top half of the standings.  Just my... Now that some dust has settled.

I am in a position to trade a QB.
Either Bradford or McCown is available. I can trade either of them outright, or maybe package them with another player (RB/WR) to upgrade at WR.

Last years stats, and most peoples rankings for this year show that I have 4 top 20 WRs, but no top 10, just looking to get a top 10 upgrade if possible.

Contact me if interested.

I am in the dealing mood.   I am looking for a QB upgrade, but would consider stud WR as well.

However, even if that does not pan out, I also have a mid-tier QB I can trade if you need that third QB.

I also have a top 30 WR who is available at a reasonable price.  However, I also have a top 15 WR who can be had.

And finally, I am loaded a RB.  I am currently carrying 6 starters on my team.

Again, looking for that upgrade at QB, but will consider anything.  Some offers have already been discussed, other feelers have been put out there as well.  Only change is that I now have another WR and another QB who can be obtained.

2 unprotected players (at this point in time) who can be had cheap.

First- Pierre Thomas - Listed as the Saints starter.  And with Sproles gone, he should get more touches.   Could be your number 3 RB.

Greg Jennings - 30 year old receiver.  He had 804 yards last year with 3 different QBs last year.   With Bridgewater, he should be better.  Candidly, I am torn between him and Colston

As for Larry Fitzgerald vs. Colston, I think that my guy's 10 TDs vs. Colston's 5 last year is a big difference.  Maybe that is why every ranking system has Fitzgerald in the 12-15 range while Colston is in the 30's.  Or maybe it has to do with the fact that Fitzgerald has been on 4 out of the last 6 GBRFL Championship teams?

Plus, I am offering Fitzgerald with a protection spot.

If you're merely registering your disappointment that a bigger deal was not struck, i understand. I was, in fact, interested in stafford. (I remain interested in a top 10 qb, gents.)  Still, joe gets something for a player he was going to cut, and i get a wr3 (to add to my stable of wr3s ;) ). All in all, i thought it a good deal.

I thought you got a GREAT deal to be honest.   You gave up a 5th rounder for a WR who could have a great year.    If he sucks, you only gave up a 5th rounder.

And Joe got what the market would pay....better than nothing - which is what he would of received.

For those of you who are protecting a kicker (who got suspended 4 games) or a 3rd string RB (Bryce Brown).....

Pierre Thomas and Jennings are available.   Pierre Thomas appears to be taking on the role of Sproles.....  he had 66 yards receiving in the first half last night.......

The deal should be as follows:

Steve gives Feder a conditional 2015 draft pick in exchange for Feder's services as GM.  If Steve wins the league, Feder gets a first rounder; if he gets 2nd, then Feder gets a second rounder; and if he gets 3rd, Feder gets a third rounder.  However, if Steve does not win the league or get a trophy, then Feder gives Steve HIS first rounder.

It may be a bit early...I am looking for a WR upgrade again/still. I am open to a straight up player swap or  a multi=player deal to get something done. I really dont want to trade Gronk or Stafford, but the rest of my team is avail. i also have 6 picks in the 1st 3 rounds: 2x each(1, 2, and 3rd).
Given my history you can take advantage of my undervalued top 20/30 WRS that I have traded or cut over the last 3 years because I cant seem to figure that spot out since I drafted Randy Moss as a rookie back in the day.
take a look and if ya see something let me know.

Heyas, guys...  I have the #4 free-agent pick Week 1.  I am definitely going to use it as I see four good pickups of roughly equal value.  As long as my two experiments, Tebow and Pryor, survive their respective team's cuts, I am not going to cut either of them, and I plan to let things play out with RB's Polk and Helu and RC Montgomery.  This means that I am going to cut a player of fairly decent quality.  The player I currently have tabbed to cut is a probable 1,000+-yard, 6+-touchdown receiver, Marques Colston.  So, if you are interested in him, let me know.  He can probably be gotten fairly cheap.

Let me put one (obvious) caveat on this...  If you are genuinely interested in Colston or dealing with me in general here, keep in mind NFL cuts.  I am willing to trade Colston before NFL cuts.  Colston may be slightly more pricey in that case (although we are not talking very expensive to begin with).  HOWEVER, if final NFL cuts on Saturday or even tomorrow's first round of NFL cuts comes and Tebow and/or Pryor (or any of my players) gets cut, all bets are off!  I will keep Colston, and just cut that player.

I also may need to cut a good player or two.  Probably cutting Cody Latimer or Fred Jackson in addition to Ryan Mallett.  Probably Latimer.

If anyone has interest let me know.  With respect to Latimer, I think he can be really good.  I gave up on Marvin Harrison and Randall Cobb at similar points in their careers.

Alternatively, I would trade my free agent pick (#2) but that may be pricey.

Title: Re: Trade Talks
Post by StegRock on Sep 2nd, 2015, 3:07pm
Well, DB, with all due respect (and it is due), I do not know about that steaming heap, but Colston is legitimately in the WR3 conversation with low-end WR2 upside and probably no lower than WR4 downside.  In fact, I am starting to get cold feet.  I am now starting to think that whomever I get with that #4 pick is not even going to be close to better than Colston.  If Pryor or Tebow or someone else on my squad gets cut, then there would be my cut.  If not... [smiley=shrug.gif]  I am still willing to deal (Colston), but I am starting to become increasingly inclined to just sit tight Week 1.  If nobody on my team gets cut from his NFL team, that may make me more inclined to just trade the #4 pick itself.  But, I am not going to give it away.

Title: Re: Trade Talks
Post by DB on Sep 2nd, 2015, 5:24pm
I wasn't really comparing Colston vs. Latimer but now that you mention it ... it is an interesting comparison.  Colston is at least 30 and maybe has one more decent year left and Latimer has done nothing but is very young, was a high draft pick and is at least the #3 in a Peyton Manning offense.  I don't think it is crazy to say he could break out this year.

But in the end I would probably value Colston over Latimer and both of them over those other scrubs that you love so much (who are similar to my 2 worthless backup QB scrubs that I don't have the heart to cut either [smiley=footinmouth.gif] and $).

Last week for trades, so if anyone wants this week's free agent pick (or want to invest in future weeks picks), they are all available.

I am looking to deal, and have a few things in the works......

See someone who was not drafted that you want?   Think a last minute switch of starters may occur?   Dreaded injury?

You can get your player guaranteed with the first free agent pick this week.   It is available.   Cheap!

Thanks,

Have suddenly become very quarterback-needy.  Running stats for Week 6 now.  Almost definitely lost both my games this week.  Willing to part with my first-rounder next year (which could be high-end) and/or a player the likes of, say, Mark Ingram (but am willing to negotiate about anybody).  Thursdays NO good for me to deal!  So, if interested, please contact me (preferably by private-message here) at your earliest possible convenience.  I will be in and out all day.  Thank you!

In addition to the above, I have a couple excellent defenses with GREAT matchups this week on the block: the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots.

Let me be clear...  I am NOT going to cut the Ravens, no less the Patriots.  I will cut Artis-Payne for my (now #1 overall) free-agent request this week.  Again, I am unavailable to deal tomorrow. :-/ But, I am also fine keeping the defenses. :) However, it seems like this is a good opportunity for some teams to get a solid defense both this week AND, moreover, moving forward (check out those fairly yummy schedules).

Heck, on second thought, everybody is available...  I will add...

I would, however, be disinclined to move Roethlisberger because he is all I got at the position and Montgomery because I think his stock is just now starting its potentially huge rise.

The new starting WR in WR in Washington Josh Doctson
Rex Burkhead-   Who the hell knows what is going to happening NE.

Anybody have any interest in the #12 pick of the draft.  I am looking in particular for a clear-cut, albeit low-end, #3/#4-level running back.  Thing is, I would want the protection spot with the player.  Sweetener can be added if need be.

Title: Re: Trade Talks

I too have a few guys available for trades. I am looking for a top 10 WR with a steady QB situation. I am open to combo deals, but if I trade a QB I would need some type of sure starter back, not a guy that "may" be the guy. I know my list of players suck Danny, so have at it. Players that I have available:

QB's - Tom Brady, Matthew Stafford, Kirk Cousins

RB's - Lamar Miller, Adrian Peterson, C..J. Prosise

RC's - Rob Gronkowski, Jordan Matthews, Jarvis Landry, DeVante Parker

DU's - Seattle Seahawks

Title: Re: Trade Talks

With one week left before protections are due (on August 26th), I am putting the following (potentially protectable) players squarely on the trading block:

QB's - Jay Cutler, Alex Smith, Brian Hoyer, Brock Osweiler (for Cutler I would likely need a QB back)

RB's - Jamaal Charles (but I would need some kind of protectable-ish RB back)

RC's - Terrelle Pryor

DU's - Minnesota Vikings

I am looking for a WR to keep instead of Theo Riddick.  I have discussed a few possibilities but am primarily looking for a deal on someone that may be cut.  I was going to post my various offers here but will hold off except for one.

Pak, since you have gone ghost and not responded to my texts and emails and since I am not sure if I have your correct number, I will take any of your protected receivers and the 1.3 for the 1.2.  That way you can keep both Mike Glennon and Rob Kelly and you can take who you want in the 1st round after Fournette.

Heyas, guys...

I think I am in a similar situation as I was last week, that is, interested in an extra free-agent pick again this week.  I do not think this time around, though, that I am interested in a 2nd-rounder.  I am more interested in a 1st-rounder.  I realize, however, that that may not be so easy to pull off, especially given the limited time we have to deal.

On the other hand, I will probably have the first pick of free-agency or, at worst, the second pick.  I may be willing to deal that pick.

Let me know if any of the above interests you.

Also,  I have Steg's first FA pick this week.  Depending on injury updates, I may be able to trade either my pick or Stegs pick.   It is not gonna be cheap as there are some good gets this week.   Injuries were BRUTAL.

I could be interested in an extra free-agent pick this week...  Don't even really want to part with a Week 16 or 17 first-round pick, though.  Second-round pick, perhaps.  If interested, pop me a private message...

No last-minute takers on McKinnon... :-/  One of those BIG plays that he is capable of could help you win a plaque and perhaps a championship.  He comes cheap at this point.  I, however, am not going to have time to be haggling tomorrow.  I have classes and then a meeting from 9:00 a.m. to less than 45 minutes before kickoff straight.  A third-rounder gets it done.  Beyond that, we will have to see.  He is, after all, a free-agent next year.  He would be intriguing in a place like New England. [smiley=hmmmm.gif]

Speaking of which, one of my solid defenses could also be had for a similar price...

And, I am also willing to move others.  The other players on my roster, however, do not come at discounted rates.

Hey guys, I am looking to make a move or two prior to cuts.  I am either looking for a protection spot (for the 2.10) or for a 2 for 1 deal that would net me a top 10 RB.   I would also be interested in getting into the draft lottery.

I have no interest in QB, RC, D.  Only a protection spot, top 10 RB, or lottery pick.

The following are available for the right price:  Russell Wilson, Alex Smith, Lesean McCoy, Latavious Murray,  Jarvis Landry and others.

Text me if you have anything in mind.

At this point I plan on keeping them both, but just throwing it out there

Going to throw another one of those ahead-of-time, roll-the-http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/YaBBImages/dice.gif offers out there... for Week 10...  Indeed, I have already been contacted about my anticipative #1 pick next week!

Unbelievably, based on an evidently gross misread as to the direction in which things were trending, QB Nick Mullens was not picked up this week.  Indeed, he frustratingly slipped through the fingers of FOUR particularly QB-needy teams: ME, Trout, Warner and Feder.

However, Mullens is MINE if EITHER I lose to Bohrer, which is obviously highly likely, OR in the off chance that I win, Travis and Frank win, as well.  Lots of paths to last place for me.  LOL!

If you want this guy and want to beat the crowd, roll the dice, and come and get the pick off me before Week 9's results are in.  You assume some risk, but you can get it off me now for perhaps a slight discount...  That said, I am in last place.  Make me a good offer, for God's sake!  Bottom line, I want the guy.  I am totally [smiley=frustrated.gif] I did not go after him.  Indeed, I am one of those QB-needy teams... this week; it is just that I am pretty much out of the running this year, so I am willing to move him.  Albeit against a shitty team, he did look really good, and he plays another shitty team next week.

Also, on a relevant side note, I have C. J. Beathard and would be willing to toss him into the deal so that my trade partner is covered no matter what.

Other than that, other than free-agent picks because mine are probably going to be higher than yours the rest of the way, I am interested in anything of value...

It pained me to give up Cooper.  I think he will be very good, maybe great, for many years.  But AB is better for the next 1-2 years.  So it made sense for both teams.

Who knows about Carr.  I thought having a Gruden QB meant great things ahead but they are overhauling that roster, meaning Carr is boom or bust.

I didn't lock in nothing yet.  There are several very good teams, especially Mark's team who had McCaffrey against me last night.   :-/

That is more fair and balanced, though, of course, not thorough (no one should expect it to be -- it is just that the commenter ought to be aware of that, too). ;)

As for Danny, he takes the opportunity to trash-talk as an invitation to stupidity. [smiley=dunce.gif]  The cherry-picking of facts, self-contradictions, and total lack of self-awareness and thoughtfulness (in both senses) are absolutely breathtaking (this, Steve, is what I detected in your initial knee-jerk, Feder-esque response), and he unfortunately has absolutely no clue that it is insulting, tiresome and a huge turnoff and, indeed, an obstruction to friendship. :-/

Emotionalism unchecked by reason leads to irrationality.  C.S. Lewis could not have said it better, huh, Travistotle? ;D  But, I digress...

Case in point, no, Danny, Amari Cooper for your, in all likelihood late, 1st rounder is NOT a "fair offer" that you should consider as you just stated it is and you would in your reply to my making you the offer last night.  That is according to whom?  According to YOU!  If Cooper and Carr (and his 1st-round free-agent pick, which netted me Benjamin) are so much worse than Brown and Ingram (in the long run, not just for this year, as -- knock, knock -- this is a deep keeper league) that I should have also received a 1st-round draft pick, then, since you did "a favor" for me and offered me your, likely late, 1st rounder for AB, how can Amari for your 1st rounder be a "fair offer"??? [smiley=uh.gif]  The point is that this is all just tiresome nonsense, and that is why people are disinclined to engage in trade talks with you.  And, FYI, I was not serious about the trade offer.

Yeah, that newly acquired 30-year-old RC and 29-year-old RB are the keys.  Funny, when I got AB, he was done.  Now, he -- along with Ingram, whom I could not even have given to Danny -- is the key to future championships. [smiley=gimmeabreak.gif]

I wanted to revisit the wisdom of Mr Feder and what you would be entitled to if you were to trade a pick to get his awesome advice.  Call it a reference if you will.

Right before the season started, I was berated over the the course of at least a week by Mr 'i am not calling you doctor' Feder for not making a deal with him.   I was stupid, never going to win, etc.   (I am the first to acknowledge I have not won and please, save your commentary or opinion 'that I never will.)  The deal was going to put me over the top according to Danny....

The deal was:

My 1.2, 1.8, Tannehill, and Colston

for

Arian Foster, Matt Flynn.

First, lets take a look at what I would of received in the deal.   Arian Foster, yes, he has a good name, but he lived up to his hype again of  injured.  OUT for the SEASON again.  I would of had a running back who played in 7 games, 542 yards, and a TD and would be out for the rest of the year.  Definitely helping my championship run.    ?.?.?

And then there is Matt Flynn, who could not beat out Tyrelle Prior or McGroin.  And then he could not beat out Thad Lewis or Jeff Tuel in Buffalo.   Even though Danny assured everyone he would be the starter in Oakland.   ?.?.?  (he MAY end up recovering in Green Bay but who knows.)

On my side of the deal, I used the 1.2 for Eddie Lacey.  1.8 for Zac Stacey.  Colston is having a down year I will acknowledge.  But Tannehill is having a better than decent year.  8 games, 2000 yards and 11 TDs.

In summary, I sure am disappointed I did not listen to Danny.   I sure miss not having 2 players on my team who are not playing!!

Here, here...  You suggested to reference it.  I too wish I had gotten Bortles OR Tannehill for AB! [smiley=laugh.gif]  Anyway, his reply to Steve...

For the teams still pursuing a title...of which I'm not a member, I'm not in official fire-sale mode, but open to dealing a key piece to help in your pursuit. Clearly the AB trade was all about DB repeating - a troubling reality we have to deal with.

No player is particularly untouchable on my roster, but I'm thinking guys like Julio, Howard, or Ben can make a big difference down the stretch. In return, I'm seeking a combo of picks & players or simply just players.

Please send any offers via PM or email

YOU ARE A LIAR!!!  I have the texts!!!  The Westbrook claim came along with your SERIES of texts disparaging AB, including a screenshot of wide-receiver rankings, on October 3rd.  Your comment on Agholor being "on a pace for more catches" than AB but that you got him "in the third round" was in a text on September 17th.  This was all amid texts you were constantly sending me almost every day about how AB is terrible and on his way out.  The bottom line is that you just spew nonsense, so I do not know why I bother.  Though I am in no position to dish it out, I love trash-talk, especially when it is funny, but I hate wanton stupidity and illogicality because that is when it turns mean-spirited, causes a lot time to be wasted (if it is entertained, which I regrettably tend to do) and can ruin friendships.

I love that I can get you crazy. It’s only fantasy football , relax!! Some can’t be as good as others. I’m not as good as DB and your not as good as me. It’s ok, I still love you. See you next week at the game.

Enough already, then, please.

Moving right along, anyone interested in the #1 pick this week, Nick Mullens (w/ C.J. Beathard), Isaiah Crowell, Wendell Smallwood, T.Y. Hilton, Rob Gronkowski, DeSean Jackson or the Houston Texans?

After another devastating loss weekend, i went from potential buyer to seller.    If you need a #3 RB I have plenty of those.   #2 or #3 wr are also available.

Finally, if you need a free agent pick, I can part with mine.

Look at my roster and let me know

Any one of you front-runners interested in the Texans DU?

This week is the trade deadline!

The Texans look for real.  They have a pretty favorable schedule down the stretch this season and, after probably not going to or, at least, deep into the playoffs this year, will probably be protectable heading into next season.  They are a good get for a team making a run at the championship.

"Being up there" was the problem for me.

Having 4 starting QBs, 2 lottery picks, and an abundance of running backs, I am in a position to make some deals.

If you need depth, I would be willing to put together a  package deal for a bonafide stud at any position.    I also would be looking for a top 12 WR or would even be willing to consider draft picks next year.

The only players I probably wouldn't consider moving are Luck or Elliott unless the offer is over the top crazy good.  Also, I can not receive more players back than I trade away - as my protection spots are already claimed.

At this point, I don't plan on keeping Lesean McCoy.  If anyone wants him for a draft pick, let me know.  I think he is probably done but would not be shocked if he had one more good year if healthy.

I am looking to shake my roster up.
I could do a combo trade: Either looking for a QB upgrade, or another top 15  healthy RB.

I would also consider draft picks this year and/or next: flexible/open minded.
Player available for trade:

QB: Brady

RBS:  Matt Breida

WR:   A. Miller

All of a sudden, on paper, I have too many players of value and I cant protect them all.   With that said, Geronimo Allison and/orVantdes-Scandling or Will Fuller are available.   Both are rated in the same range of 29-35 looking at the different sites with positive upsides in the offenses they are in.

That very crappy news of Luck retiring, has crushed my team.
My franchise qb is suddenly gone.

Not only that, I have to protect him in case he changes his mind.   So now I am looking to actually move a player from my team.   Any one need a QB? Would consider a draft pick in the future.   (As far out as 2021)

Or I would trade Fuller.

Or, I would consider getting a pro spot for the 2.7 if anyone has one this late in the game

Damn it!!!

Looking to trade for a quarterback.  I will entertain anything, but a #3-caliber guy is fine.  Please take a peek at my roster and let me know if there is anything you might be interested in doing...  Thank you!

While I have no idea where my pick will be, my free agent pick is available if anyone wants it.

Still no idea where my pick will  be, but my free agent pick is available.

Also, I have QBs to trade:   Need bye week filer, Keenum is available ( who is averaging 311 yds, 2.3 TDs per game)
Need a longer term option, Garrapollo or Brissett are available. Always would consider draft picks.  I could also use a WR.

Finally, tarik Cohen is available cheap if anyone wants a player from the pathetic bears offense.   As in I may drop him cheap.

I remain in the market for a (filler) QB...  Unless Colt McCoy is named the starter for the Redskins against the Dolphins here Week 6, I need one this week!  I will not need one again until Week 10!  Anyone want to make a fair trade?  I am not going to give up the farm for a filler quarterback.  Moreover, my team is not good enough to justify doing so.  By the same token, you are not going to get anything for the filler quarterbacks sitting on your bench, except from someone like me heading into a week like this here Week 6.  Get something while you can! I am in the market for a filler QB for this week or the top waiver pick. I have picks or players available and my waiver picks too if you have Def/K on a bye. Text me with any thoughts/ ideas.

I am looking for a #3 QB for the rest of the year. The strength of my team is WR obviously, but have draft picks and some RBs with upside as well. Let me know if you have something in mind.

Title: Re: Trade Talks
Post by DirkDiggler on Nov 15th, 2020, 3:03pm
While I am only half a game back, my team is a total debacle thanks to injuries.   I have already clinched the loss this week, and I am heading into next week double header with the HOPE of Jake Luton as my 2nd starter.  Even without a bye week, Daniel Jones is now my number 2.

So I am willing to deal for reasonable offers.  I am certainly not desperate, but if any of the following are of interest to you, let me know.

DEFENSES
Washington Football Club with the likes of the Bengals, Cowboys, Eagles, 49ers, etc on their remaining schedule

Chicago Bears with Lions, Texans, Vikings Jags remaining on their schedule

Chiefs with Raiders, Broncos, Dolphins, left on their schedule

RBs available

JOE MIXON
LaMichal Perine (who is clearly the future of the Jets)

WRs available
JuJu Schuster-Smith, D..J. Moore, Chris Godwin, Jalen Reagor, Robby Anderson

I have some guys available for trade as well...

RBs: David Johnson- off concussion protocol and will play week 13... A. J. Dillon, Joshua Kelley

WRs: Mecole Hardman, Laviska Shenault, Corey Davis.

Hit me up if you have any interest. I will  consider  all offers...looking for draft picks or pro spots...I consider some worth a 2nd or PS.

James White is available for any free agent pick if anyone has any interest.   Candidly, i am probably dropping him because I have 3 WRs on a bye this week.  While white is certainly not a stud, he did have 2 TDs last week and is usually good for receiving yards especially with the injuries to the Pats backfield.

I am looking to move one of my WRs.   They are all in the 25-35 range in the rankings.   I would take a draft pick (future years), some kind of deal for pro spot, etc.

DJ Moore
Rashad Bateman
Juju Smith-Schuster
