Brian Hoyer can win Browns' QB job with big game
NFL.com (22.09.2013 12:13)
Brian Hoyer can steal away the Browns quarterback job from Brandon Weeden with a big game Sunday against the Vikings, but Cleveland is looking elsewhere for its franchise passer, per Ian Rapoport.

Source: Browns open to trading Gordon, Little
ESPN: NFL (22.09.2013 10:11)
The Cleveland Browns are fielding offers for and are open to trading wide receivers Josh Gordon and Greg Little, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Here is the official end of Hoyer's season...  From "The REAL Feed":

Browns' Hoyer on IR, officially ending season
ESPN: NFL (12.10.2013 16:43)
The Browns have placed quarterback Brian Hoyer on injured reserve with a torn knee ligament, officially ending his season.

It will be interesting to see how the Browns fare over the rest of the season and whether or not Hoyer will be given a chance to win the job again next summer.

I do not get this...  From "The REAL Feed":

Rob Chudzinski fired by Cleveland Browns
NFL.com (29.12.2013 22:16)
The Cleveland Browns have hit the reset button. Again. Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that coach Rob Chudzinski will be fired after one season, per a team source.

With all due respect, what a boring hire...  Just what Cleveland needed to infuse the Browns' fan base with some excitement. Are they ultimately trying to get this team to L.A. or something?  From "The REAL Feed":

Mike Pettine hired as Cleveland Browns' next coach
NFL.com (23.01.2014 16:25)
Mike Pettine will join the Browns as their new head coach, the team announced Thursday. After weeks of looking at offensive gurus, Cleveland decided to go with a defensive-minded leader.

I do not like to add to the NOISE and post on things prematurely, that is, while they are running their course or until there is something conclusive on which to comment.  But, I finally have to chime in on the Josh Gordon situation.  At this point one conclusion has surely been reached: THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!

Could not agree more......it is a joke.  I am sure they are trying to negotiate - as I think Josh Gordon has a good case.

That is incorrect.  They have shortened it slightly.  They have made his suspension for the 2014 season.  He can apply for reinstatement right after the 2014 season concludes.  While that matters not for this season, it does matter greatly for 2015 and his preparations therefor.

And, then, there were two...  From "The REAL Feed":

Browns release Tate, free up logjam at RB
ESPN: NFL (18.11.2014 10:19)
The Cleveland Browns have waived running back Ben Tate, the team announced Tuesday.

Personally (and, mind you, I have BOTH Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell on my GBRFL team), I think the Browns are REALLY screwing this up.  Ben Tate is a quality back.  Did you see how he opened the season?  He has only stunk it up since coming (feeling his position threatened and perhaps too soon rushing) back from injury.  Furthermore, he is the kind of back that needs to get a lot of touches so as to get in a physical and mental groove (mind you, I think this is a truism for most tailbacks and is why RBBC's have generally proven not to be so effective).  I do think at this point this may be addition by subtraction, but only because they have screwed this up.  Paring it down to two, though, whether or not Tate was "disgruntled", is probably a good thing.  But, this could have been managed in a much smoother manner.

2014-2015 season is not even over yet, but Gordon's 2015-2016 season already seems to be... Current atop "The REAL Feed":

Sources: Gordon fails another test, faces ban
ESPN: NFL (25.01.2015 15:09)
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has failed another drug test and now will be subject to a one-year suspension, according to league sources.

I kind of do not know what to think about this. This guy has been caught on a lot of ticky-tacky stuff. That said, they are piling up. Did they really think a single male of drinking age was not going to drink at all, though? In any event, what Gordon needed in his life was a Tebow, NOT a Manziel, which is not even to mention that the former is, for all his faults, better than the latter. Stupid, small-minded scouting and team management! It seems like nobody can see the bigger picture anymore.

I just heard on NFL LIVE that Josh Gordon WR CLE has failed yet another drug test. No BS. I also heard that former teammate Jonny Manziel is crashing at Josh Gordon's place.

i loved this kid's skills coming out. He has some much potential, and proved he can play in this league, he just cant get his head on straight. I hope he gets his life together.

Here is the official word on that...  Griffin done for at least half the season... according to "The REAL Feed":

Robert Griffin III placed on injured reserve with shoulder injury

USA TODAY: Sports  (12.09.2016 14:39)
The Cleveland Browns quarterback will miss at least 8 games.

DOLFAN says that Grif should be "sliding" when what he is doing instead is, so to speak, "slipping"...  Again, from "The REAL Feed":

RG3's best shot at career rebirth is slipping away
USA TODAY: Sports  (12.09.2016 14:57)
Griffin can't afford to miss much more time, and now he's sidelined with shoulder injury.

BEREA, Ohio (AP) Cleveland's notorious quarterback carousel has thrown another rider.Just two weeks into a new season, the Browns are down two starters.

I just saw on Total Access and read on NFL.com that WR Josh Gordon is going enter himself into a rehab center. This is his decision not mandated by the NFL or Browns, they say the Browns will probably cut ties with him.

Good for him. I hope he gets his life together. He has a world of talent.

Wow, Joe, here is the story from a LOCAL daily that rolls off "The REAL Feed":

Cleveland Browns' wide receiver Josh Gordon enters rehab after NFL suspension
Ohio Standard (29.09.2016 22:57)
The Cleveland Browns announced Thursday that their wide receiver, Josh Gordon, 25, has entered an in-patient rehabilitation facility. Team has said they support his decision to enter rehab.

Does not seem that they are definitely going to cut ties with him... We shall see, however...
