Just what they did NOT need,... a hit to the "offensive" (double entendre intended) line.  From "The REAL Feed":

Cards 1st-round pick Cooper out for season
ESPN: NFL (30.08.2013 13:57)
The Arizona Cardinals placed rookie first-round draft choice Jonathan Cooper on the season-ending injured reserve list Friday after determining his broken leg would need a full season to heal properly.

Instead of delivering one, D takes a HUGE hit, indeed, one that could linger into next season and, in any event, compromises their effectiveness for the stretch run...  Currently atop "The REAL Feed":

Arizona Cardinals' Tyrann Mathieu tears ACL, LCL
NFL.com (09.12.2013 12:56)
Tyrann Mathieu suffered a torn ACL on Sunday. If that weren't bad enough, the Arizona Cardinals defensive back also tore his LCL on the play, meaning his recovery timetable likely will be longer.

Solid defender on solid team D (for fantasy purposes) lost for 2014 season to suspension... according to "The REAL Feed":

NFL suspends Cardinals' Washington for 1 year
Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Sports (30.05.2014 14:36)
PHOENIX (AP) -- The NFL has suspended Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Daryl Washington for one year for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

I DIGRESS...
(Josh Gordon owners take note! It is just a matter of time!)

Palmer DONE...  From "The REAL Feed":

Cardinals QB Palmer out rest of season with knee injury
SLAM! Sports NFL (10.11.2014 14:24)
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will miss the rest of the National Football League season after suffering a torn ACL during Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams, the team said on Monday.

In an ironically fortuitous turn of events for Palmer, the thing that will probably save his career is the HUGE three-year contract he just signed "in the nick of time" at the end of last week.

RB Chris Johnson lost probably for the rest of the regular season.  From "The REAL Feed":

Chris Johnson out indefinitely with fractured tibia
NFL.com  (30.11.2015 18:41)
Chris Johnson's Comeback Player of the Year campaign has hit a snag. Johnson was diagnosed with a fractured tibia after leaving Sunday's victory in the second half.

With Ellington also out with a turf toe injury, David Johnson will be the guy to have moving forward this year, and given CJ's age...???
