Spread the word! Steg's goin' old-school,... back to the basics,... back to the old days... Mind yous, I can't really rev it back up here on "the Gridiron" yet, but I'm gonna give yous a little taste of the future I will eventually get back to in the form of some good ole home cookin'... in the further form of some preseason RANKINGS CHEATSHEETS,... just in time for your fantasy drafts. Over the next number of days, I'm gonna give yous my Top 60 Receivers (wide receivers and tight-ends), Top 50 Running Backs, and Top 40 Quarterbacks! I promise "SteggOriginality"... ... and, most importantly, all I've got to give you of my 21 years of fantasy football experience! ... I will reveal these cheatsheets from bottom to top, 10 at a time. So, be ready because they'll be coming at you at any time... I'm just priming at the moment. I'll be starting with receivers 60 through 51! I will include quick-hit notes here and there as to my reasoning, but the best way of really getting at what I'm thinking is by discussing the rankings with me right here (something the "experts" don't typically afford you much opportunity to do)! Get the word out... Steggie's comin' back! See yous soon with RC's 60 through 51!

Steg's Top 60-50-40 (This is the post on which the cheatsheets will be maintained. As I reveal the list over the next several days, I will update the extant list with current information. So, until it is complete, players may go up and down, which I will indicate with up and down arrows. Again, the rankings are open for discussion right here on this thread. The list is constructed with a non-keeper league with a generic combinational scoring system in mind.) Quarterbacks 1. Peyton Manning - Colts 2. Drew Brees - Saints 3. Eli Manning - Giants (With uncertainty in the backfield and that receiving corp, he's poised for his best season to date!) 4. Aaron Rodgers - Packers 5. Carson Palmer - Bengals 6. Jay Cutler - Bears 7. Tom Brady - Patriots 8. Joe Flacco - Ravens 9. Vince Young - Titans (Make-or-break time... I'm a believer!) 10. Tony Romo - Cowboys 11. Matt Schaub - Texans 12. Ben Roethlisberger - Steelers (Having a tremendous training camp; the only down side is the suspension.) 13. Matt Ryan - Falcons 14. Brett Favre - Vikings (This is, of course, assuming he plays.) 15. Philip Rivers - Chargers (Team falling apart around him.) 16. Matt Stafford - Lions 17. Donovan McNabb - Redskins 18. Matt Cassel - Chiefs 19. Kevin Kolb - Eagles 20. Matt Hasselbeck - Seahawks (Don't understand why the pundits are so down on this steady-Eddy QB.) 21. Chad Henne - Dolphins 22. Matt Moore - Panthers 23. Jason Campbell - Raiders (I'm a little sold on the comparisons with Rich Gannon.) 24. Matt Leinart - Cardinals 25. David Garrard - Jaguars 26. Mark Sanchez - Jets 27. Josh Freeman - Buccaneers 28. Alex Smith - 49ers 29. Michael Vick - Eagles (He's a fantasy factor, who's supposedly looking great; not sold on Kolb.) 30. Brady Quinn - Broncos 31. David Carr - 49ers (The better QB in SF!?!?) 32. Brian Brohm - Bills 33. Kyle Orton - Broncos 34. Sam Bradford - Rams 35. Brodie Croyle - Chiefs (The better QB in KC!?!?) 36. Byron Leftwich - Steelers (Good stats guy, now about to start the season for a good team!) 37. Derek Anderson - Cardinals 38. Tyler Thigpen - Dolphins (If Henne falters, this guy's a capable, even exciting prospect!) 39. Trent Edwards - Bills 40. Tarvaris Jackson - Vikings (Yous know why!) (Jimmy Clausen was bumped off.) Running Backs 1. Adrian Peterson - Vikings 2. Chris Johnson - Titans (He'll come back down to reality.) 3. Ray Rice - Ravens 4. Cedric Benson - Bengals (Most underrated player! His situation is one of the best of any tailback in the league.) 5. Maurice Jones-Drew - Jaguars 6. Frank Gore - 49ers 7. Shonn Greene - Jets 8. Rashard Mendenhall - Steelers 9. DeAngelo Williams - Panthers 10. Pierre Thomas - Saints 11. Knowshon Moreno - Broncos 12. Ryan Grant - Packers 13. Jamaal Charles - Chiefs 14. Michael Turner - Falcons 15. Steven Jackson - Rams 16. Beanie Wells - Cardinals 17. Ronnie Brown - Dolphins 18. Joseph Addai - Colts 19. James Stewart - Panthers 20. Brandon Jacobs - Giants 21. Ryan Mathews - Chargers (Rook behind same, even worse o-line, moreover, as passing game detiorates.) 22. LeSean McCoy - Eagles 23. Ahmad Bradshaw - Giants 24. Darren McFadden - Raiders (Not quite ready to throw this guy under the bus like most pundits.) 25. Matt Forte - Bears 26. Michael Bush - Raiders 27. Clinton Portis - Redskins 28. Marion Barber - Cowboys 29. Cadillac Williams - Buccaneers 30. Felix Jones - Cowboys 31. Jerome Harrison - Browns 32. Chester Taylor - Bears 33. Ben Tate - Texans 34. Justin Forsett - Seahawks 35. Laurence Maroney - Patriots 36. Fred Jackson - Bills 37. Jahvid Best - Lions (Do not really understand his chronic overrating by the pundits! My theory: ADS.) 38. Tim Hightower - Cardinals 39. Kevin Smith - Lions (Do not really understand his chronic underrating by the pundits this year!) 40. LaDainian Tomlinson - Jets 41. Ricky Williams - Dolphins 42. Willis McGahee - Ravens 43. Montario Hardesty - Browns (Could start, but the forecast is usually not good for injured rooks!) 44. Donald Brown - Colts 45. Reggie Bush - Saints (Way overrated... even by me...) 46. C. J. Spiller - Bills 47. Thomas Jones - Chiefs 48. Correll Buckhalter - Broncos 49. Tashard Choice - Cowboys (Only if Barber or Jones sustains an injury!) 50. Larry Johnson - Redskins Receivers 1. Andre Johnson - Texans 2. Reggie Wayne - Colts 3. Calvin Johnson - Lions 4. Larry Fitzgerald - Cardinals 5. Miles Austin - Cowboys 6. DeSean Jackson - Eagles 7. Randy Moss - Patriots 8. Brandon Marshall - Dolphins 9. Greg Jennings - Packers 10. Roddy White - Falcons 11. Marques Colston - Saints 12. Steve Smith - Panthers 13. Vernon Davis - 49ers 14. Dwayne Bowe - Chiefs 15. Anquan Boldin - Ravens 16. Steve Smith - Giants 17. Hakeem Nicks - Giants 18. Sidney Rice - Vikings 19. Antonio Gates - Chargers 20. Hines Ward - Steelers 21. Dallas Clark - Colts (This guy was just too big of a monster last year to deny!) 22. Brent Celek - Eagles 23. Mike Sims-Walker - Jaguars 24. Chad Ochocinco - Bengals 25. Michael Crabtree - 49ers 26. Johnny Knox - Bears (Currently atop the Bears' depth chart at receiver.) 27. Devin Hester - Bears 28. Santana Moss - Redskins 29. Donald Driver - Packers 30. Kenny Britt - Titans 31. Lee Evans - Bills 32. Percy Harvin - Vikings 33. Braylon Edwards - Jets (A lot of mouths to feed and a raw guy still at the helm.) 34. Wes Welker - Patriots 35. Vincent Jackson - Chargers (Would obviously fly up the charts if his situation is resolved!) 36. Chris Chambers - Chiefs (The other receiver in this burgeoning Cards-Pats style O!) 37. T. J. Houshmandzadeh - Seahawks 38. Terrell Owens - Bengals 39. Malcolm Floyd - Chargers (In position to take advantage of the V-Jax sitch!) 40. Mike Wallace - Steelers 41. Dez Bryant - Cowboys 42. Zach Miller - Raiders (The surest receiver they have in Oaktown!) 43. Derrick Mason - Ravens 44. Steve Breaston - Cardinals 45. Jabar Gaffney - Broncos 46. Tony Gonzalez - Falcons 47. Jason Witten - Cowboys (What a disappointment last season was, huh?) 48. Jerricho Cotchery - Jets 49. Golden Tate - Seahawks 50. Kellen Winslow - Buccaneers 51. Pierre Garcon - Colts (Drop of bread-basket ball in Super Bowl changed the tide of the game!) 52. Demaryius Thomas - Broncos 53. Jeremy Maclin - Eagles 54. Bernard Berrian - Vikings (Could benefit from Rice hip injury!) 55. Robert Meachem - Saints 56. Mohamed Massaquoi - Browns 57. Arrelious Benn - Buccaneers 58. Mike Williams - Buccaneers 59. Early Doucet - Cardinals 60. Chaz Schilens - Raiders (Davone Bess, Anthony Gonzalez bumped off.)

Okay, I acquired the first Week 1 free-agent pick in the GBRFL a few days ago, so I can now leak out at least one of my sleepers, and I'm going to use this article off "The REAL Feed" as my prompter: Seahawks looking to trade Houshmandzadeh, save over $7M NFL.com (02.09.2010 18:12) Seattle likes its emerging wide receivers and has made it know that wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, a top free agent signing by its prior regime in 2009, is available, according to NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora. The sleeper is, with what I take to be further corroborating evidence of his emergence here with this article, Mike Williams. He's looked fantastic and is in a totally auspicious situation, on a receiver-needy team and reunited with his old college coach with whom he thrived. In fact, I think he easily has the potential to be a top-20 fantasy receiver this year.
