Plax allegedly on the fast tracks back (that is, if there is a 2011 season to come back to )... according to "The REAL Feed":

Agent says Plaxico in terrific shape
NY Post: Giants (12.02.2011 18:15)
After visiting Plaxico Burress in prison on Saturday, agent Drew Rosenhaus said his client is ready to return to the NFL.
Rosenhaus wrote on Twitter that the former Giants wide receiver, " is doing great! He is running & lifting weights 5 days a week. He looks in terrific shape."
Burress is...

In this second piece, I think some of the possible destinations for Plax listed by the users are better than the reporter's...

Here is an unexpected member of the NFL's 2011 homeless.  Well, actually it would be truer to say that he's in the doghouse.  On the other hand, he is swingin' with a chick who could be in Penthouse. But, given that he started that fling while his wife was eight-months-pregnant, I guess he should be homeless, which he might end up being based on his present financial situation, which is what allegedly has him filing for reinstatement.  Be hottie as she may, this girl has evidently not honed her gold-digging skills very well.  At any rate, here is all that from this LOCAL source on "The REAL Feed":

Tiki files papers to return to NFL
New York Daily News: Sports - Football (08.03.2011 21:11)
Former Giants running back Tiki Barber has officially filed papers with the NFL to come out of retirement, his agent, Mark Lepselter, said on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.

A list of F-A's...  Not exhaustive, but helpful...  From "The REAL Feed":

NFL's Top Free Agents
CBS Pittsburgh: Steelers (26.07.2011 06:55)
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Today, teams all over the NFL will begin negotiations with their own free agents. In Pittsburgh, contract talks between the Steelers and cornerback and top free agent Ike Taylor will no doubt dominate much of the shortened free agency period. In the event teams like the Steeler...

I don't know how much of a pat on the back I would send this guy off with...  Indeed, I say good riddance to a very self-absorbed unstand-up guy,... who never lived up to his potential because of that self-absorption and only brought destruction unto himself, and who was an off-the-charts terrible role model.

Bears or Chiefs or Texans... in that order and really favoring the former two.  The Bears would makes sense, familiarity.  But, given the rules of the short waiver period prior to outright free-agency, the fact that the Bears seem to like Hanie, and the fact that the Chiefs are in the worst situation at quarterback, are higher in the waiver-wire pecking order and a divisional rival, I would not at all be surprised if Orton went to the Chiefs.

ESPN: NFL (05.12.2011 12:29)
The Chicago Bears' dire situation at quarterback hasn't pointed the club in the direction of future Hall of Famer Brett Favre, but a source familiar with the quarterback said he'd listen if the Bears made a pitch.
