Title: Chargers Team Report
Post by StegRock on Feb 9th, 2010, 6:00pm
I would like to pick up from the "In-season Report" thread the following discussion, which incidentally, folks, is more in the spirit of how I'd like to see these threads used by our members, here on the "Offseason Report" thread...

So now the question is....who will be the RB in San Diego next year? Sproles is a free agent and not an every down back. It is so confusing as to who TRUE free agent RBs are because of the uncapped year.

I believe Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams are the top 2, but I do not see either fitting that team. There are quite a few restricted free agents......including Pierre Thomas. Maybe swing a trade for Tashard Choice? I just don't see the Chargers going with a rookie RB.

That would make some sense. The Raiders certainly don't need so many RBs and they would be cheap.

Actually, upon further review, [smiley=uponreview.gif] the guy who I really think will end up being their stop-gap back for the next one to three years is... soon-to-be free-agent Willis McGahee. [smiley=threed.gif]

Ouch......watching the NFL Redzone Channel.  Ryan Matthews' ankle got SERIOUSLY bent backwards.   Does not look good for him to come back and the commentors are alluding to the fact that THEY think he will be out quite a while.
