Kid [smiley=newbie.gif] backing up A-Pete signed... according to "The REAL Feed":

In other news, Sid Rice's hip still ailing... [smiley=injury.gif] according to this LOCAL source on The Feed:

Here's the report on Favre's re-re-re-retirement from off "The REAL Feed" - it's the original LOCAL report all the big sports media sources are referencing:

Sources: Favre tells Vikings he's retiring (http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/99841644.html?elr=KArksi8cyaiUo8cyaiUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUr)
StarTribune: Sports (03.08.2010 11:14)
Brett Favre's wavering nature makes it impossible to call anything official, but NFL sources said the quarterback began informing Vikings personnel late Monday night that he has decided to retire for a third time.

Well, this situation is surely worsening and has truly become a concern or at least a nuisance (caused me to bump him down 10 spots last night in my receiver rankings:  http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=55;action=display;num=1280628196)...  It seems as though Harvin is wanting Brett Favre treatment.  You knew someone on the team was eventually going to pull this.  The thing many are missing, though, is that Favre has kind of earned it.  This kind of treatment is a privilege you earn, something hard to comprehend in this "hand-it-to-me", "what-he's-got-I-deserve" society that we live in, which mind you is not to say that Favre has gone about everything ideally...  At the very least he is neglecting his role as role model!  Anyway, the report on Harvin from "The REAL Feed":

Reports: Vikings give WR Harvin deadline to report (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/13757041/reports-vikings-send-wr-harvin-fiveday-letter/rss)
CBS SportsLine.com NFL News (13.08.2010 23:38)
The Minnesota Vikings-Percy Harvin situation took another odd turn when the club sent Harvin a 'five-day letter,' according to several media outlets.

This is first time I've seen a diagnosis of sleep apnea so heralded...  That's a disease that takes lives.  He has to sleep with an oxygen mask, for goodness sake.  Look, I wish the kid the best, and it seems like they've got things under control, but the characterization "No more problems for him," seems a "bit" overstated.

Slightly overstated yes.  But even in the article itself, Percy Harvin is quoted as saying, "It is a blessing."   Considering what he has gone through with the migranes, I think sleep apnea is not too bad.  It is a treatable condition that millions of Americans live with and is VERY treatable.

A few of my family members have sleep apnea and they have all indicated that once you get used to the mask(it can take a few weeeks), you feel a LOT better.

Hopes of Peterson's return this season seems to have been premature...  From "The REAL Feed":

Adrian Peterson suspended without pay for rest of 2014 season (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000430302/article/adrian-peterson-suspended-without-pay-for-rest-of-2014-season)
NFL.com (18.11.2014 10:16)
Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be suspended without pay for the remainder of the 2014 season, the NFL announced on Tuesday. The NFLPA announced Peterson will appeal immediately.

The twist ...

Adrian Peterson was suspended for disrespecting the NFL, not abusing his son (http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/11/adrian-peterson-nfl-suspension-roger-goodell-minnesota-vikings?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&utm_campaign=usatodaycomnfl-topstories)
USA TODAY: NFL (18.11.2014 08:33)
Without setting precedents and a fair disciplinary system, the NFL has failed to win back trust.

I actually think this is a good fit!  Real thunder and lightening with Tate and McKinnon.

First MAJOR injury of the year...  From a LOCAL source on "The REAL Feed":

Here are Vikings QB options with Bridgewater out for year (http://www.startribune.com/here-are-some-vikings-qb-options-if-bridgewater-injury-is-serious/391785261/)
StarTribune: Sports  (31.08.2016 00:10)
It feels a little strange to already be thinking about how the Vikings might replace Teddy Bridgewater given how fresh his season-ending injury is. It was supposedly non-contact, yet gruesome.  I hate to say it -- I am a fan of Bridgewater's -- but such an injury could be career-threatening.

Early indications are that Teddy Bridgewater will be out for all of 2017.  No QB controversy for the Vikes as Bradford will be at the helm again:
