COME and ENJOY year four of our one-of-a-kind post-season fantasy football contest that takes you through ALL 5 WEEKS of the post-season...

Here are the simple rules and guidelines:

1) Lineups - Each week your lineup will consist of three players, 1 QB, 1 RB and 1 RC (WR or TE). COMPLETE lineups are due by kickoff of the first game of the weekend!!!

2) Scoring - Simple... 1 point per yard, 60 points per touchdown.

3) Schedule - From Wildcard Weekend through the Pro Bowl...
Wildcard Weekend - Saturday/Sunday, January 5th & 6th
Divisional Playoffs - Saturday/Sunday, January 12th & 13th
Conference Championships - Sunday, January 20th
Super Bowl XXXIX - Sunday, February 3rd
AFC-NFC Pro Bowl - Sunday, February 10th

4) The HITCH - You can only use a player once, i.e., once you have used a particular player, that player is unavailable to you again, i.e., you canNOT use any one player twice!!! If you do so, you will get ZERO points for that player for that week.

Here is how it the contest will be administrated:

1) Weekly Lineup Submission - You are to submit your lineups either to "Referee" by instant message here on "the Gridiron":

IT IS UP TO YOU TO AVOID USING A PLAYER TWICE as per the rules. Management is supposed to be a part of fantasy football. So, do your job! We don't baby people around here. Contacting you to tell you you made a mistake is NOT our job. And, do NOT submit your lineups late, please! Again, COMPLETE lineups are due by the kickoff of the first game of the weekend!

2) Score Tallying and Reporting - Our member bgsgfan a.k.a. Jeremy Miller or yours truly, Stevie Steg, will tabulate everybody's scores on a spreadsheet and we will report everybody's scores and the standings every week. A message will be appended to THIS thread with a link to the spreadsheet every week.

Tony is an honest guy. He probably just got held up & figured "Hey, what the hell. Put it in and see what happens."

We should figure out how to handle this in the future, though. I'm fine with the Commish decision, whatever it is.

I'm one for cold-weather Super Bowls' being in the mix. Then again, I'm also one for down with domes. Play the game where it's supposed to be played,... outside... in the elements.

Not sure how I got the points I got last week for Favre, Grant, and Wayne? I must be doing something wrong??? I calculated more points than I got ?.?.? 7 total TD's..close to 500 yards offense from the three players, and I only get 579 points? Isn't it 60 points per TD and 1 point per yard? I have not even looked at week 1 yet!

[smiley=wizard.gif]Fixed, MC. Sorry 'bout that. It's just that this fifth season has REALLY worn on me. I just want the season over with (which, clue in, fellas, is NOT a good thing). With this biff (of mine, granted), another 15-20 minutes of my life goes down the drain. [smiley=downthetubes.gif] Don't get me wrong. It was my fault, AND it's not much time. BUT, trust me, above and beyond the BASICS of running this place these 15-20 minutes here and there ADD UP. I always knew that fantasy football was a thankless venture (we all know the plight of a "league" commissioner), moreover, full of guys wanting freebies. This is not a hobby like golf, where guys expect to shell it out. But, anyway, I knew what I was getting myself into. After five full seasons here, though, and not the kind of progress I hoped for and, moreover, with the "groundwork" for progress not really having been laid [looking to the 2008 season and beyond (the magazine is almost surely NOT going to happen again; my car accident back in November was probably the straw that broke the camel's back,... but it shouldn't have to come down to that)] it's just that I am (close to being) at my wit's end. My reaction above is proof in the pudding of that... :-/ I just want to "enjoy it all" again,... and I find that very rarely do guys put a smile on my face around here anymore. All I "sense" are rote, obligatory thank yous,... short one-liners that show me nothing in terms of "getting the bigger picture", i.e. give me little hope as I press forward. :-/

In ANY case (right???),... I checked everybody's lineups for last week, and all else should be okay. :-/
