Another city in serious jeopardy of losing their franchise...  Is this the beginning of the end for the Chargers in San Diego? ... From "The REAL Feed":

San Diego Mayor Says Stadium Too Expensive
AP Sports (21.04.2006 17:21)
SAN DIEGO - Cash-strapped San Diego doesn't have the money to help the Chargers build a new stadium, Mayor Jerry Sanders said Friday, opening the door for Southern California's only NFL team to leave the city it has called home for 45 years.

From San Diego to Los Angeles,... not a far move for a professional sports franchise at all,... a move, in fact, made by the NBA's Clippers.

As Paul Harvey says.... and now the rest of the story....

What you do not read in this article is all the facts.  They are selling a story.  Part of Bensons bitterness comes out when he says, "we are disappointed with the support of the business community."

Anyway, the part you do NOT read in the article about the 'record' ticket sales is the fact the more than half of the 'record' number of seats were paid for last year BEFORE the hurricane.  People that had season tickets last year did not get a refund.  They got their season tickets this year.  Remember, the Saints played ZERO home games last year.......  We will see how ticket sales are next year when everyone has to buy their tickets.....
