the Bleachers
If you want to chat about anything under the sun besides football and without its having to be intertwined in a football-related conversation, such as other sports, baby announcements, cooking, pets, politics, economics, religion, philosophy, sex, chicks, books, whatever, etc., etc., as long as it is not covered by one of our other "thematic" threads like the "Happy Birthdays to our fellow Gridironers" thread or the "Get to know your Gridironers" threads, this "STICKY THREAD" is for you!  Enjoy!

Most of you all know that my connections to South Korea run deep.  It's a love-hate relationship, for sure, but I HATE to see this...  (I'm going to swing yous all through "the English Master" forum...)

This is in the ballpark of being tantamount to our losing the Statue of Liberty, or maybe the better analogue might be the Washington Monument.  Whatever, it's terrible.

Not really the same.  Their monument was 610-years-old.  Much deeper.

Well, America itself ain't even 610-years-old.  But, you get my point...  Actually, having lived there for seven years, I would say that it, relatively speaking, isn't quite as bad as (it would be to us if we lost) the Statue of Liberty, but worse than (it would be for us if we lost) the Washington Monument.  It's not just the age that matters.  It's the (relative) symbolism.

Next Sunday is race  day in Indy. This 25th of May marks the 92nd running of this great race. Until now, no other event on the 25th of May came with more tradition than the Indy 500.

Now on this date, The 25th of May, 651 Members pause for a moment of silence to honor the death of the FFLA, which officially died May 25th, 2004 at 11:59 am.

The ceremony of silence will include the setting of the  headstone. The headstone will read Quote:
a bunch of testosterone-overflowing immature and/or relative do-nothing ingrates

Affectionatly!

Fair enough...  That is true...  In fact, this post of yours I enjoyed...  Somehow, I know you probably knew that I would,... moreover, should (i.e., if I didn't, you really should chalk me up to being a big asshole)...

Looks like a winning combination to me and the season has not even started!! I'm gonna fine tune this group and get my name up in the Gridiron lights!!

Head Coach - Mike McCarthy

QB's - Marc Bulger, Matt Hasselbeck, Alex Smith, JaMarcus Russell, Trent Edwards

RB's - Marion Barber, Reggie Bush, Julius Jones, DeAngelo Williams, DeShaun Foster, Kenny Watson, Ryan Grant, Kolby Smith, Ron Dayne

RC's - André Johnson, Torry Holt, Ronald Curry, Greg Jennings, Marques Colston

PK's - Kris Brown

DU's - Seattle Seahawks

Can you say GBRFL2 Championship?!!
