Looking ahead to 2004...

Maybe it is a bit early to start thinking about things for 2004, but we have some questions we need to answer.

First off, I see three owners who we may have issues with:  Jimmy Carver, Kirk Wallace, and Jeremy Miller.  All three went MIA during the 2003 season and have not been seen since that time.

There are players on all three rosters that I'd be interested in trading for, but those rosters are locked and inaccessible because of absentee ownership.

Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

I know Jamie has dealings with Jimmy.  Don't know if they have chatted lately.

Has anybody tried emailing these guys? I know that Jeremy and Kirk were very active on the boards here last year. Don't really know what happened to them that they disappeared all together?

I know Jeremy and Kirk both ran into work and life events that prevented them from being active online.  What I don't know, however, is if those events will allow them to continue with the GBRFL2 next season.

I'll shoot an email off to each of them and see if I get a response.

I'll let Jamie talk to Jimmy (although I haven't seen Jamie around in a while either)...?

Jamie and I keep in touch. He is actually joining my keeper baseball league this season, so I will chat with him often. I'll ask him about Jimmy.

I know kidcrash is really interested in joining the GBRFL2. He is active on the board, and seems like a good guy. Even for a Viking fan.

You don't ever have to worry about me Philly... I ain't going nowhere! I've been consumed with Fantasy Baseball lately... not posting a lot at the Gridiron, but I drop by from time to time and I'll be back in full swing as the draft approaches. Who knows, I might even have a big trade in the works as we speak...

I talked with Jimmy after the season ended and he was very apologetic about his lackluster participation... He said he wanted to stay in the league and I told him to make a formal post... I guess he hasn't gotten to it yet.   I'll hit him up this week and lay it on the line. Keeper leagues are only as good as the people playing in them and I don't want to play with people giving anything but their best. I'm willing to give Jimmy and the others another chance, but as the saying goes, "Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me". (or something like that... I think you know what I'm saying).

Wasn't worried about you going anywhere... just noticed that you weren't as active recently.

Anyway, regarding the activity of people in the league, I'd like to know that if I post something (trade proposal, whatever) in the forums here, everyone in the league is seeing it.  If I posted something today, I'd feel confident that about 4 other people (Jamie, Jim, Tony, and Keith) were seeing it (based on who I see poking around the forums when I'm logged in--which is fairly often).  I recognize that this is the off-season, but there are still things going on.

Hmmm, interested in some of my players?

The best way to get ahold of me is through the messages right here.  I still don't have my email up and running (I am planning on tackling that this weekend) and I am sure it will take some time to sort through those messages.

I am open to any trade deals, but more than anything I;d like to improve my players in possible 2 for 1 deals.  I'm not too worried about any one position, so I am open for anything.

I always browse around the site and I for one am always interested in a deal.  Like to keep things fresh. I do not post that often, unless the mood strikes, but I always make sure to log in a few times a day.  So let's get this party started.

You just never know when "eye"ll pop in.

Should be much more regular now. (pun not originally intended)

Got the WiFi thing happen' on the laptop and as football season nears(if not sooner), will be expanding from just Flying J truck stops to a service called truckstop.net which should ensure I'll never go more than missing one day of connectivity.

Trade offers always accepted thru pm here as well a e-mail.

I think most passenger cars would prefer I not find out!

Stuck in Buffalo NY today waiting for a load out sometime tomorrow. Figures I get to spend my down time here, freezin', instead of someplace like Florida.
