Meetings '05...

Guys, I was chatting with Francis and DT last week about the possibility of, well, first of all, just having a winter meeting this year, and, moreover, doing it like we did in '03, on the last Sunday of the regular season.  This year that would be Sunday, January 2nd.  A winter meeting could prove VERY useful this year since we do have at least that one BIG rules issue regarding scoring errors and how far we should go back in correcting them to discuss.  The old idea behind the Winter meeting was that that was when we could discuss rules stuff while it was fresh on our minds as opposed to in the summer when rules stuff no longer is, we are all focused way more (selfishly or self-servingly, so to speak) on our respective teams and we have other more pressing things to do, namely DRAFT.  As for location, that's wide open.  I think Frank and DT are a possibilities to host.  I'd be willing to do it down here in the DC area if you guys are willing to "motorvate".  After all, we do have guys down this way and Philly is not much farther from here than it is from Frank's.  ...  Anyway, anyone else want to offer up?  I'm ambivalent about this.  Let's just get the discussion rolling.  We don't have too much time to pull this off.

I am up for the Winter meeting, but January 2nd is out for me.  I am coming back from vacation that day or the day before and starting my first trial the next day.   .  I think the next two weekends are good though.

With January 2nd a no-go for DB, that puts a crimp in things for me.  Spring semester commences Monday, January 10th.  I plan to be back here that weekend,... which brings me back to what Frank suggests above.  I'd be willing to do the ESPN Zone thing in Baltimore wildcard weekend on either Saturday, January 8th or Sunday, January 9th.  Bottom line, if we don't have it January 2nd, it's probably going to have to be 1) down this way in January as per the ESPN Zone suggestion of Frank's OR 2) up in Jersey when I make my February visit, maybe on Pro Bowl Sunday, OR 3) sometime after the semester is over, deep into the spring, and, perhaps, after Frank opens up his pool for the season. Thoughts, gentlemen???

I wont be able to make an early January meeting in Baltimore. I would love to go though. The Inner Harbor is AWESOME!!!!!!! They have great seafood at the Harbor. Do we have any rules up for discussion yet? I know that in the past I gave Steve my votes before the meeting.

Guys, any intention of getting this off the ground?  Is next weekend (Divisional Playoffs) a possibility?  If not, how about the following Sunday (Conference Championships)?  Or, how about Pro Bowl Sunday?  If so, where would be good for you?  I talked to Trout last night and he said he's a go just about any of the days!  Come on, boyz...  Feed me feedback!!!

Is the Pro Bowl weekend option still in the NJ area?  I am definately up for that.

My availablility for the next two weekends is kinda up in the air.  One of the Saturdays is no good, but I have to check which one.   Either Sunday is good.

Well, guys, as it turns out, I don't think I will be (able to be) getting back up to New Jersey until the weekend following the Pro Bowl.  Frank, anyone, any input here?  I would REALLY like to do two seperate meetings this year:  one for rules stuff, which I think we will need to deal with this year, and then, of course, the one for our summer draft.  I just don't want to have to "deal with it all" at the summer meeting, which detracts from the main event, the draft.
