Guys, I just called Doug one last time here today, giving him like 48 hours to respond. I don't feel... haven't felt confident, to say the least, about hearing from him. As such, I have put out feelers... Doug is a personal friend. I intend to replace him "accordingly" if it, in fact, comes to that. Fret not, the GBRFL will NOT become an internet-based league. That said, I have become true friends with some of the guys here on "the Gridiron". Bottom line, I will always treat my baby of babies, the GBRFL, with due care. A couple of the guys are guys who I know personally and are around here a little; one is a member here, but only because he is a VERY close personal friend from high school, and he's never here; the first guy on the list, though, is an old, VERY close friend who I made a promise to way back, and I've tracked him down and am fulfilling that promise. We'll just wait and see... I'll be keepin' yous updated here. - Steg

If Doug doesn't come back, I think priorty goes to prior owners such as Murphy, Monetti, CJ Hutchins, or someone who will really really suck. This league is already too damn competitive to bring in a ringer (not that this league is ever won by anyone but old schoolers)

Guys, I know what's up with Doug. I am not at liberty to divulge nor am I privy to any of the gory details, in any event. He is going through some VERY, that's putting it mildly from what (little) I gather, difficult times on the personal front. But, he is okay and "with us", so to speak. And,... he may have made it back just in the nick of time and really be,... well,... "with us". Don't count him out just yet. I will be in contact with him this weekend.
