The '06-'07 Championship Run

Well, well, well...  With a Mark Hahn victory and a Travis Cooper loss in Week 16, the GBRFL is coming down to the wire in exciting fashion yet again. Over the last couple weeks, while, with all due respect, Joey and Stevo couldn't get the spoiler job done (though Joe could pull out a "crucial" 5-point victory over little old, last-place me during this span), the old Stegger and Trouter did, and in doing so have set the former, yours truly, up yet again to play spoiler, except this time the other way around, i.e., insofar as my opportunity to play spoiler again is the case, there is a 180 in rooting interests from Week 15. Bottom line, any hope Markie has at a Championship rides on the old Stegger's takin' out T-Rave (and, actually, Joe's victory over me this past week does turn out to be rather "crucial" because, otherwise, your hopes, Markie, would be riding on... Rob Pak...  Again, with all due respect,... YIKES!).

Good luck, boyz!  Let the best man win!  Ding, ding!!!

(But, just in case you end up being the "best man" in the "Super Bowl" matchup, Markie, you'd better stop sending that bad "vibe" old Ronnie's way.  Unbeknownst to you, he was on the line with me the other day during our convo, and he was NOT happy with what he was hearin' comin' out of your pie hole. You need him showin' up BIG Week 17, my old friend. The irony...)

Okay,... the site has finally been updated through the Wildcard Round.  The key game in the Championship run is the 1st Place-versus-Last Place game, the game between Travis and me (the old Stegger's always "in play",... a difference-maker).  With each of us with a player, a receiver, Harrison (WR) going for him and Muhammad (DR) going for me, I had a 3-point lead going into Wildcard Weekend.  After Harrison's game, he now has a 3-point lead going into the Divisional Round.  Here's what Muhammad needs,... or should I say,... what Markie needs (though I surely wouldn't mind playin' spoiler and gettin' my team back to double-digit victories)...  It's really not much...

52 yards OR a touchdown OR 4 receptions OR receptions and yardage that raise my current yards-per-reception from 10.91 to 12.30.  No combinations are needed, just any ONE of the four.

Good luck! Strap on your helmets... Here we go...

Well,... if I (unofficially) declare a Champion during this game here, it is almost definitely Markie.  If I don't until after the game, it is probably T-Rave.

T-Rave -

Congratulations. While I hate you, I have no problem giving props where props are due.

Muhsin Muhammad -

Fuck you.

Sincerely,

Bitter 2nd place recipient

Thanks for the props, boys.  Mark, I do feel bad for you.  You mauled me in the Super Bowl and I really played badly at the end (the last few weeks especially).  I lucked out at the last minute.

I still can't believe Muhammad didn't get another reception.

Props to Doug for assembling a really well-balanced team (the only flaw was at running back, and that nearly proved the end of me).
