2015 Summer Meeting & Draft

Well, fellas, 'tis that time of year... Time to figure out when we are going to have our most anticipated and funnest day of the year, the annual GBRFL Summer Meeting & Draft!
It is probably going to be the same drill as the last few years, though there is a sliver of a chance that I may make a visit back that way. But, if I even go remains very uncertain, and when it would be is even more uncertain. So, we should proceed as though the administration of the Summer Meeting & Draft is going to be done remotely, that is, on-line here on "the Gridiron" and by conference call. That said, other than the (fairly remote) possibility of my being there this summer, my schedule is wide open. Even if I were to visit New Jersey, I would make whatever date we agreed upon work, and, bottom line, I can do any weekend from late July until kickoff! 
SO, with all that said, let's get to hammering this out. At the very least, it would be good for everybody to list any "no-go" dates! Secondly, stating preferences would be good. The later the better, I suppose; earlier if need be. Let's get to it...

ALERT!!!
As it turns out, I probably should have waited 24 hours to start this thread...
All of a sudden, the chances of my being back in New Jersey during a "sweet spot" for a fantasy football draft have skyrocketed!!! Well, maybe not the best for those who love the last-minute draft, but it is looking highly likely that I WILL be back in Jersey this summer sometime around the end of July until mid-August!
If you guys want to do this LIVE WITH STEG this year (potentially one last time for old-times sake at Frank's?), we should target the first three weekends in August, that is: the 1st or 2nd, 8th or 9th, or 15th or 16th. Honestly, the best of those from the perspective of the guy coming all the way from Hawaii (under some duress, mind you),... eh-hem,... would be the weekend of Saturday, August 8th and Sunday, August 9th. My second choice would be the 1st or 2nd. Indeed, the 15th or 16th could be a little rough.
With that said, thoughts???

A live draft would be great. The only conflict I have for the first 3 weekends in August is on Sunday, August 9th for part of the day.
Have tickets for a baseball game at 1:00 pm but I would be available in person around 5:00 pm. I assume you guys would start earlier. If the draft were at Frank's house, that would work out (game is Lakewood Blue Claws) which is not too far.
Other than that, if the draft is by phone at night, should be ok whenever.
Can we do the lottery before cuts again? May lead to trade activity.

Heyas, guys, update on the Steg front... Looks like I am going to be high-maintenance this year...  I apologize up front. Please understand that the circumstances that potentially/likely have me going back that way this summer are complicated.
If I am going to make it back and we are going to have a live draft, I have to admit at this juncture that the weekend of August 15th and 16th is almost definitely not going to be feasible. In fact, if we are serious about a live draft relative to my being there, we probably should consider the weekend of July 25th and 26th. We have conducted the GBRFL Summer Meeting & Draft that early once before, so it is not without precedence. (Mind yous, guys, my suggesting an ever earlier draft date totally goes against my self-interest as a team owner. Given the makeup of my roster in particular, the earlier the draft is, the way worse it is for me.)
Ultimately, given the uncertainty of my circumstances this summer, I think we should come up with two dates: an earlier one accommodating a potential live draft on the weekends of July 25th or 26th, August 1st or 2nd, or August 8th or 9th (Saturday, August 8th has been looking like a good date thus far), and a later one as close to the 2015 season opener on September 10th as possible (as, if I am not going to be there, the pressure to do it early is off) (with that said, Steve, you do know that you knocked out TWO weekends in one fell swoop, indeed, the final two before the kickoff of the season ).
Alright, let's get to it...

Well, again, we have done it that early before (and, in any event, as I stated, given my roster, I arguably stand to lose the most by having the draft early). It is about the possibility of my being in Jersey this year and our getting together for it. If I am going to be there, the latest it is in all likelihood going to be able to be is August 9th. If I am not going to be there, I tend to agree with you. Of course, the last two weekends seem to be off the table.

I checked the schedule and the season does not start until September 10th. The preseason begins August 9th.
This gives us the additional option of September 7th (Labor Day) if this is by phone. Also, it means that there is pretty much no difference between July 25-26 and August 8th since no preseason will games will have taken place.
At this point, I am good for July 25-26 if that is necessary.

I am 99.9% sure I will be back in Jersey from around July 20th until about August 10th. As such, based on the discussion here as well as those with whom I have spoken, I am going to go ahead and declare Saturday, August 8th as the day for our 2015 GBRFL Summer Meeting & Draft. Just in case I do not make it back, which again is highly unlikely, I am going to declare the backup remote (phone/on-line) draft date to be Sunday, August 23rd.
As for the Draft Lottery, it would be best to do it before I leave. You guys seem to want to have it done early, anyway. Let's plan to do it on Sunday, July 12th.
Sound like a plan? If this all works for you, I would appreciate your confirming, and, if not, all the more important for you to reply a.s.a.p.

Well, Joe, year-in-and-year-out razzing and downright arguing aside, I hope you make it. I would enjoy seeing you. Same, of course, stands for PakMan.
Also, Trout gave me a buzz a little bit ago. He is good to go, too, on August 8th! Woo-hoo! Looks like we are nailing this into place with relative ease this year.

The LIVE 2015 GBRFL Summer Meeting & Draft date has been set for Saturday, August 8th!!!
The Draft Lottery, however, is but a week away, set for next Sunday, July 12th. As for a start time, let's say 7:00 p.m. (EST) (that would be 1:00 in the afternoon for me). Also, be on the lookout over the next few days for an e-mail from me containing the details on the conference call.
Finally, based on the scheduled date for the draft, cut-down day will be Sunday, August 2nd. Protection lists will need to be in before midnight (lest your squad will be subject to draconian cuts based on your 2014 Week 17 starting lineup). The preferred way to submit them will be by way of a protection-lists thread that I will post here on our message board (indeed, that is the only way I hope they are submitted).
