2016 Summer Meeting & Draft

We are in the throws of moving to a new place (YET AGAIN). With some overlap in leases,.. we are currently in the process of packing; movers coming on June 3rd; will be out of this place and on a plane heading to New Jersey on June 7th, arriving on June 8th. Reason for this current move: we are moving Mama Steg out with us. That said, on June 20th, will hop in the car and head to Illinois to, per the quote above, get that dissertation defended on June 22nd. Then, back to mom, and, after getting some movers and chuckers involved, we ALL head back to Hawaii on July 2nd. Steg, of course, then has to be back in the classroom on July 5th to teach Deductive Logic for the first time,  which means that I should devote a good amount of time to reacquainting myself to formal logic  and preparing the class...  on the planes, I guess. 
So, here we go... Gonna be crazy, not much time to ditz around, but if you want to get together, let me know a.s.a.p., and let's see what we can do. If you want to drop by the old Steg residence one last time, this is the last opportunity, preferably before June 20th, that is, before things are in total upheaval, and visitors are not really going to be welcome.

Alas, fellas, old Stegger is starting to emerge from the fog of war that was this summer... In all frankness, I have endured some shit in my lifetime, but the events of this summer have brought me to my knees (and my wife as well -- Danny is now working one out  ). In all seriousness, the events that have transpired this summer have kicked my ass, and then this logic class I came back to teach has handed said kicked ass to me. Mental and physical exhaustion and strained emotions abound. This is why I have been M.I.A.
So, with that said, I had to back-burner the GBRFL. As such, we are at a later point than we have ever been with respect to the commencement of a season, and now we have not a minute to spare to get the ball rolling...
We are obviously looking at an on-line/conference-call draft this year. That said, with only about half of the league responding at this point, it nevertheless appears from discussions on "The... Just Talk Thread" that two of the only THREE weekends (not including this weekend) we have left to conduct the draft during have already been ruled out, that is, the weekends of August 20th-21st and 27th-28th.
That leaves us with Labor Day Weekend, September 3rd and 4th, and Labor Day itself, Monday, September 5th. Given the urgent nature of this year's circumstances, I would also like to throw out a few more (outside-the-box) possibilities. Fridays work for me... How about a Friday evening draft on either August 19th or 26th? In fact, I could make ANY day after Tuesday next week work, and after that I could also make Mondays or Wednesdays work. Heck, how about a shotgun draft this Sunday, August 14th? I would be game.
Thoughts! Let's get to it...

I can probably make any time work. I prefer the 14th or Labor Day weekend to the 26th because I will have questionable internet service then.

Assuming a midweek evening, which I suggested in my message above (and have not ruled out), is really just a desperation option, it looks like, based on the discussion here, a Friday evening draft is becoming a likelihood, either THIS UPCOMING Friday, August 19th or the Friday heading into Labor Day weekend, September 2nd. What do yous think?

Well, fellas, while I agree with Danny with respect to the Friday evening possibilities, it seems like one day is starting to come into focus in the face of our respective scheduling needs: THIS Friday, August 19th!
Whatchyas think??? PLEASE chime in promptly!!! If that is to be the date, then we got to get a move on and get it finalized!

Sorry,,not gonna work for me and cant make it work. On vacation with the family and have plans. I didn't even mention this week because I never thought it was a possibility to have the draft so fast. Sorry
PS...if Labor is the only weekend, I can draft if someone calls me with constant updates. It is going to really suck

Well, then, guys,...  working backwards from Kickoff Thursday, it seems like our next best options are Wednesday, September 7th, the day before Kickoff Thursday, or Wednesday, August 31st. With a start time around 8:30 p.m. (EST), I could make it work.

Okay, given Warner's edit, it looks like the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, September 4th, is back on the table. So, what do we want: one of the Wednesday evenings mentioned above or Labor Day Sunday???

Heyas, fellas... So, I am going to go ahead and declare Labor Day Sunday, that is, Sunday, September 4th as our date for the 2016 GBRFL Draft. Barring any serious objections, I think that is it. Now, as for the start time, look, I would really like not to commence before 11:00 a.m. my time in Hawaii, which is 5:00 (EST). I am good with any time after that. So, what time do yous want to start up???
