...Anderson backed out of the New England Patriots deal because he (and his agent) wanted to see how the last set of preseason games went and what kind of injuries might occur. I also think that the situations of Thomas Jones, based on performance, James Stewart, based on a late knee injury, and Edgerrin James and, moreover, Jamal Lewis, based on untested ACL's and the lack of competetent supporting casts to provide breathers, are quite tenuous and provide intrigue to Anderson (and his agent). I think there could eventually be situations out there better for Jamal and I think his excuse for backing out is not completely the case. Any thoughts?
