Brunell strains groin in practice

------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------
Associated Press

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars added Mark Brunell to their injury report Friday, listing him as probable after he strained his groin in practice.

Coach Tom Coughlin said Brunell is still scheduled to start Sunday's opener against Indianapolis. The coach, who signed Kent Graham to join rookie David Garrard as a backup, hasn't made a decision on who the backup would be if Brunell's injury gets worse.

Brunell, who has missed only two games over the last three seasons, initially sprained the groin Wednesday. He practiced Thursday but was held out Friday.

Also added to the injury report was safety Donovin Darius, who is still having problems with an ankle he sprained in the preseason. Darius was listed as probable, and is also still expected to start.

Defensive end Tony Brackens, who is probable for Sunday's game with a nagging knee injury, did limited work in practice Friday.

Here is the most interesting Comment from the Article:

"The coach, who signed Kent Graham to join rookie David Garrard as a backup, hasn't made a decision on who the backup would be if Brunell's injury gets worse."

You wouldn't think the Jags would even concider going to Garrard as the #2 man?  If they do, in the Short Term you have to down Grade all Jag players across the board.

Long Term, you might find the Jag QB of the future in Garrard, because it certainly isn't Kent Graham.

Has Graham been with the team long enough to have even a 25% grasp of the offense?  ???
