Jeff Chandler of the Niners.

Played for Spurier in College, and the Skins have contacted the Niners about him.

Bet you can get him for nothing if he's even on a team.  The Fun and Gun Kicker is going to put up points just by default.

I'm one of those with Brett Conway as his kicker, so I'm definitely interested in this news...

HOWEVER

Remember that Chandler couldn't beat out XFL refugee Jose Cortez for the starting job despite the fact that Cortez didn't perform very consistently during camp/preseason.  Sure, Chandler can get you the XPs (even I could do that) but I'd be very nervous seeing him lineup for a 46 yarder.

I think I'll scan the waiver wire a bit more for someone who can do it consistently.

I agree with PhillyPhantasy, at least in the sense that the words "Kicker" and "sneaky pick-up" don't seem like they should be in the same sentence. How 'bout another one?  Ola Kimrin, the guy who "unofficially" broke the NFL record by kicking a 65-yarder this past preseason.  He'll end up somewhere, and when he does... Oh, boy!  You will be in "Placekicker Heaven!" Bottom line, if you are having to make a "sneaky" kicker pick-up, your league places WAY TOO MUCH emphasis on kicking; your league is too deep for my tastes, and/or you have WAY TOO MUCH time on your hands to think about fantasy football.  Try just getting one of the 18+ kickers probably available in your league, who have already secured a starting job as a placekicker in the NFL.

Keep on smokin' my FF friend. Unless you have a top 3 Kicker it really doesn't matter. Keep   him down Steve. maybe someday he will have a good team. Hell he alomst beat me this week.
