I have Edge, McCallister, and T. Henry.  Pick 2.  I've been going back and forth all week.

A tough choice for sure. James at home against a run stingy defense or McCallister at home against a tough Packer defense.

All things being eaual, I go with Henry in Minnesota and James at home against the fins.

I am with paulinstl here.  You gotta' go with Henry based on matchup alone and between McAllister and Edge, I would go with the proven vet over the somewhat still unknown.  Deuce's yards-per-carry, which was not very good last week, will not improve this week against Green Bay.

Another vote for Edge and Henry.  I tried to think of a way to justify bucking this trend and couldn't do it.

Deuce and Edge, Henry hasn't proven jack, and as far as that matchup is concerend..... take a look at what many folks ( including myself ) Thomas did against Minn. D last week................ He did squat. Thats just JMHO

I'm sorry, I guess I don't understand... Henry "hasn't proven jack"?  And because of that, you're recommending starting McAllister?  What exactly has he proven?

I could be wrong ( I sold my crystal ball ) but they had a pretty darn good rb in RW, and they let him go, my take on it is that they knew what they had in Deuce, and are ready to show him to the rest of the league. I believe Deuce is a much better RB then Dunn ( JMHO )and Dunn ran for 2 tds on GB for an avg of 4.6 per run. So maybe I worded that response wrong, but thats what I think.

As the poster boy for Murphys law I suggest you start Edge and Henry since I am starting Deuce.

thanks for the replies ... The way it sits right now, I'm going to sit Edge this week  (I reserve the right to change this 10 more times before sunday)

IMHO, Edge has the toughest D matchup this week.  Edge looked pretty good last week, but the Jags D just doesn't scare me that much.

I think Henry will be able to get things done against the vikes.  The bills will do whatever they can to feed Henry and keep moss and cpepp off the field.

McCallister looked pretty tough racking up 100 against the Bucs D.  I liked his effort last week and think he'll do about the same this week as well as finding the endzone against the pack.

Again,  thanks for the replies.

I think you are going to regret sitting Edge.  In his first game back from the vaunted RB killing ACL injury he had (approx - too lazy  to look up) 26 carries for 99 yards.  I didn't see the game, but his stats answered a lot of questions regarding his durability.  Remember, this was the guy who challenged FAULK last year for the consensus #1 FF pick.

I think Edge is the only proven commodity you have at RB.  Someone like him starts every week despite the matchup.

Of course when I saw my draft (automated) and Travis Henry was my #2 RB, I got upset.  Good thing I decided to give him a chance...

I personally don't think Edge is gonna make it through the whole year, but that's still to be seen.

Don't doubt for a second that I am not second guessing myself for possibly sitting Edge.   Last year I took EDGE over Faulk with the #1 pick (oops).  I did watch the game off and on.  He did look pretty good.   He did not look DOMINANT like I have seen him look in the past.   He didn't seem to have the cutting ability he has had in the past.

It's just the the matchups (IMO) favor McCallister and Henry until Edge convinces me he is untouchable as a starter again.

O.K. you are going against the majority of opinions which you asked for. It's a nice choice to have to make. I have Henry, Deuce and Ahman Green. I believe in the stud theory, I always have and I always will, there's a reason why they're studs!

I'm going with Green and Henry. If I did like you, I'd sit Ahaman Green against NO because they play the tougher defense against the run.

I'm not going down with my best weapons on the bench.

If this works out for you, good! If it doesn't, quit asking for other opinions!

Henry and Edge will probably have similar performances. I really can't see an advantage for either this week. Miami is strong against the run and Minny put the clamps on the Chicago running game last Sunday. All things being equal, take the proven commodity - James. McCallister is the easy choice at number two IMO.

Very tough choice here. I would og with Duece/Henry. Ride them until edge can prove he is back 100%. MIA still has a top DEF.

I think Deuce will have a big game and New Orleans will surprise Green Bay.  Edge should have a good day too, although not nearly as impressive as Deuce.

Henry will have plenty of chances, but should experience a let-down.  I foresee a tight game where Bledsoe will rely on the pass most of the game.

(OK - Maybe this would have been better if it was posted before the games ended, but let's not quibble...)

Thanks for all your opinions.    Especially wanna-be-misfit-PISL.

I went with Henry and Deuce.    I lost a couple of performance points with my decision, but still won the game handily.

Edge squashed any fears I had about playing him regardless of the matchups for the rest of the year yesterday.  I'd just really like to see him get in the endzone.   From this point on, Edge and McCallister are my starting  2 RB's unless Henry is playing Detriot.
