need RB help? PLEASE

It's week 3 and I'm already in a situation I thought I would not have to worry about it. As an owner of A. Green and Goerge I am in trouble. But to make the situation worse I also have F. Taylor who is on a bye (it is an 8 team league). It looks like I am going to have drop Clinton Portis and pick up a free agent to play this week. Who is my best bet? thank you

Lamar Smith at Min. or
Mike Anderson against Buf.

Thats a tough 1 there....... Foster may not be back for 3-6 weeks ( I think thats what I read ) so Lamar may have a couple of games in him, although if I remember correctly they will be playing some tougher opponents then they have been, starting with his matchup  against Minn. . Minn has done really well in the first 2 games against Thomas and then Henry, so I'm not sure he's going to have much room, they are weak at Pass D- run D seems to be a surprising strength. Anderson is part of the dreaded RBBC, but he did have a good game last week, and they are going up against a not so great Buff. run D. If it's just for this one game I would say Mike, but if not it will make your decision much more difficult.
 Good Luck,

Sounds like my luck.  I had to start Lamar last week and he was ok.  I would take a chance on him again.  If it is a one week deal you might see if Moe Williams is a fa.     The commish in my bar league picked him up today and he is not the type to waste 5.00 on a whim.

Moe Williams is available so add him to my list of players

M. Williams against Car
L. Smith @ Min
M. Anderson against Buf

Of course this is assuming Green or George can't play and from what I have read this morning the news looks encouraging!

For a short-term fix, I really like the Lamar Smith vs. the terrible Vikings defense matchup.  Moe is tempting, but it really sounds like they are RBBC and he will be too irratic.  Ditto for Mike Anderson.

Jet have you been paying attention to what you call " The terrible minn. D" ? They have basically stuffed the run.....( will it continue?" I dunno but it has looked good so far ) they have absolutley no pass D. Now if they plan on using smith out of the backfield as a rec. (like last week against a pitiful Det. team) then maybe. Of course thats ...........JMHO

One guy you did not mention is Jamel White.  Is he available?  If so, my list would look like this...

1) Moe Williams
2) Jamel White
3) Mike Anderson
4) Lamar Smith (in the longer-run I would bump Lamar up to #1, but for this week, and next week for that matter, I think his matchups suck... as will his numbers)

Apparently Steg has to meet a Jamel White quota each week.  Has he carried you to victory yet?

Anyway, of the ones available for a one-week start situation, I'd go Moe Williams.  The Carolina D has looked good, but they haven't played anyone yet.  Michael Bennett seems to be losing favor in the great white north, so "Go with Moe!"
