Philadelphia Eagles Week 3 Analysis

Last week the Eagles offense gained some confidence against a defense that is laden with stars. Likewise, the Eagles defense shut down the vaunted Spurrier offense with little trouble. 
This week, the Eagles face a Dallas team that is coming off a big win against the Titans. Look for the Eagles to continue their winning ways on Sunday. 
Donovan McNabb - Should have little trouble picking apart the Dallas secondary.
280 PaYds, 35 RuYds, 2 PaTDs, 1 INT
Duce Staley - Was the workhorse last week and responded nicely.
40 RuYds, 75 ReYds, 1 TD
Dorsey Levens - Saw some more action last week and broke a 40+ yd TD run.
50 RuYds, 25 ReYds, 0 TD
Brian Westbrook - Is injured. I would be surprised if he got more than 2 touches.
James Thrash - Had a big game against the Skins. Could have another this week.
70 ReYds, 0 TD
Antonio Freeman - Will play larger role this week.
50 ReYds, 1 TD
Todd Pinkston - Why bother?
15 ReYds, 0 TD
Chad Lewis - Backup TE stole his TD last week.
45 ReYds, 1 TD
David Akers - Still best K in the game.
3-3 XP, 2-2 FG
Eagles Defense - Jim Johnson is able to confuse inexperienced QBs with his different looks and aggressive pass rush coming from every position. Quincy Carter is definitely confuseable. I think the Eagles will hold Dallas to less than 15 points and will have 2-3 sacks and get 2-3 turnovers.
All-in-all, a good fantasy week for those Birds. McNabb, Akers, and Defense are must starts. Staley, Lewis, and Thrash are good 2nd starters. Freeman will come around soon and become the #1 WR on the team. Don't start him yet unless you're desperate. He might surprise this week.

Well, if you started any Eagles, you're probably pretty happy now. 
I don't have time this week (or next) to do a recap; you can certainly do one yourself. Just open up a new browser window next to this one. Go to nfl.com and check out the game stats. 
Anyway, McNabb is a fantasy super-stud. I said that Freeman might surprise this week, and he did. Akers is still a stud kicker. I missed the boat on Westbrook (1 passing TD?) and also Pinky (he's still starting)? Lewis has been left out of the offense the past couple weeks. Eagles D started out shaky, but finished strong.
I thought the game would be a tad closer, but I'm happy nonetheless. (Imagine being stuck in Marco Island, Florida, on a football Sunday and still finding a sportsbar that is 1/2 full of Eagles fans!)

. I like the guy, but good lord he looks sooo slow compared to Levens and Westbrook.
