OK people, the first month of the NFL is done.  Now is a good time to take a look at some numbers and try to get a handle on what is happenning in the NFL vs. our expectations.  I'll start this off by just looking at the numbers.

Overall records:

Code:
AFC East

Miami 3 1
New England 3 1
Buffalo 2 2
NY Jets 1 3

AFC North

Cleveland 2 2
Baltimore 1 2
Pittsburgh 1 2
Cincinnati 0 4

AFC South

Indianapolis 2 1
Jacksonville 2 1
Houston 1 3
Tennessee 1 3

AFC West

San Diego 4 0
Oakland 3 0
Denver 3 1
Kansas City 2 2

NFC East

Philadelphia 3 1
Dallas 2 2
NY Giants 2 2
Washington 1 2

NFC North

Green Bay 3 1
Chicago 2 2
Detroit 1 3
Minnesota 0 4

NFC South

Carolina 3 1
New Orleans 3 1
Tampa Bay 3 1
Atlanta 1 2

NFC West

San Francisco 2 1
Arizona 2 2
Seattle 1 3
St. Louis 0 4

I think this shows that the Eagles are clearly the best team in the NFC after 1/4 of the season.

I don't know - I think GB is right there.  It doesn't matter, because there are maybe 4 or 5 AFC teams better than any NFC team right now.

Is Chad the answer?  I fired Coles earlier this year and am thinking about re-hireing him now that Vinny T. is on the pine.  The Jets are a pretty solid team, if they can find the one piece of the puzzle or may be not.

and host the Chiefs this week. The Greatest Show On Grass!

for the record, no, I don't have the Chiefs going to the Super Bowl. But it sure has been a fun ride to  2 - 2.

Man, I hope Chad is the answer.  I'm doing all of the research I can and will be posting my Week 5 analysis of the Jets (seeing that the Texans are on bye) in the next day or two.

Green Bay struggled to beat Carolina and Detroit.  They're 3-1, but have been outscored by their opponents.  If anyone in the NFC is even close to the Eagles, it's the Yuccaneers.

As far as the AFC, I am still not sold on the Chargers.  Oakland is solid, and Miami will recover from their loss, as will the Patriots.  I'm not sure about anyone else in the AFC being a contender though.  (Maybe the Colts?)

Eagles will roll through NFC and into the Super Bowl. Plus, I don't think there are that many AFC teams better than them!!!
