"Red Zone Players of the Week" - Week 5
« on: Oct 1st, 2002, 9:48am »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

WEEK 5

"Red Zone Players of the Week" are simply to be ONE player from each of the FIVE skill positions, QB, RB, TE, WR, PK.  Just list ONE for each position, no stats projections necessary.  Let's keep it simple for the newbies!  Also, I do not always want to be "the first" guy posting on these type things.  So, I would like someone else to chime in first.  I will give the basic template/pattern I want you to use.  Again, PLEASE follow it closely for the newbies.  THANKS!

Here is the pattern to follow (cut and paste it if need be):

QB - ...
RB - ...
WR - ...
TE - ...
PK - ...

(Of course, the addition of SMILIES is always cool! )

QB - Rich Gannon (unbelievable so far, weak Buff D)

RB - Priest Holmes (200+ yards for Taylor last week vs Jets)

WR - Terrell Owens (in a good game)

TE - Jeremy Shockey (vs. suspect Dallas middle)

K - Mike Vanderjagt (a rout in Cincy)

Have I reminded you to fock off lately?

QB - Drew Bledsoe - (McNair put up almost 400 last week against Oak)

RB - Edge James - (Indy will be ahead, and will give James the ball often)

WR - Eric Moulds - (See Bledsoe above)

TE - Eric Johnson - (Rams suck at covering TEs)

K - Jason Elam - (SD will hold Denver to a bunch of FGs)

What? So far the Rams have given up:

Week 1 Denver:

4-37-0 Tds

Week 2 Giants:

5-55-1 Td

Week 3 Tampa:

8-60-0 Tds

Week 4 Dallas:

5-38-0 Tds

I'm not saying Johnson isn't a good start, he probably is. I'm saying your numbers are way wrong!

Not necessarily the obvious or plays for the faint of heart...

QB - Jamie Martin, Rams (will benefit from the shootout that is to be)
RB - Michael Pittman, Buccaneers (finally breaks into the endzone)
WR - Joe Horn, Steelers (the only thing that will get shredded is the Pittsburgh secondary, definitely not Horn's knee)
TE - Eric Johnson, 49ers (due for another solid game, especially considering the shootout I am predicting)
PK - Mike Vanderjagt, Colts (back off his bye-week)

YUCK!

Jamie Martin, as if...
Yea, there was a shootout in San Fran.  St. Louis just decided not to show up... along with Eric Johnson!

Pittman, oh brother!
