Broncos to Feature Portis, right?

The BIG (positive) news this week has been that Mike Shanahan has finally named his starting (expected to be full-time) tailback, right?  I am not disputing that reality OR the fact that I think that Portis has a VERY bright future in the NFL, in all likelihood in Denver.  That having been said, how does this latest news out of the Denver Post via KFFL "jive" with that reality? ...

"The Denver Post reports the Denver Broncos have been very pleased with FB Reuben Droughns play during his first start of the year at the fullback position last weekend. In fact, they've talked about using him more there to free FB/RB Mike Anderson up to play more at the tailback position.

Here is a direct quote from the article in the Post:

The picture that was supposed to clear up by now has become cloudier. The situation that was supposed to be resolved by now has become complicated.  With a Sunday night showdown versus the Miami Dolphins looming, the only thing the Denver Broncos know for certain about their running back situation is rookie second-round pick Clinton Portis is the featured back.

But Mike Anderson may begin playing more tailback than he has.

Reuben Droughns may begin playing more fullback than he has.

Olandis Gary may begin playing less than he has, only because Anderson could be playing more tailback...."

Here is the link to that article straight off "the Gridiron Newsstand":

Shanny is like a successful version of Martz.  Uber-arrogance, but he's got rings to back it up... unlike Martz.
