Kansas City Chiefs - Week 7 analysis

The same 3-week "block" stats breakdown that I used last week is being used again{and will be from here on out} but I'll save some space and hopefully make it a better read by summarizing all but the most glaring numbers.

QB- Trent Green {probable}

Shaking the Tr"int" nickname with every game. Steady but small increases in his numbers across the board. Without factoring in the Donkey D{DD}, 270-300 yds with 3 plus td's are what the numbers say.
Now we'll factor in that DD, a defense that has held only one qb under 200 yards all year {balt, shoot Redman's only averaged 182 in the four other games}. Still as a unit, they are not giving up stud numbers to anybody's qb. Numbers say 1 td and a little over 200 yards.

Look for the actual totals to be 240-260 and a couple of td's. Very solid start, will keep you updated on the injury front.

RB- Priest Holmes

A must start week in week out.

Stats of note here are that while his rushing yards have taken a slight dip over the last three 3-game blocks, still the lowest block has him averaging 89 yards rushing. Receiving yards continue to climb. Over the four blocks, the numbers are

1 - 23
2 - 38
3 - 54
4 - 80

Keep in mind, these are three game averages! Unreal numbers for a rb!

Now the DD {double d's are safely called big boobs, right?} So the big boobs   out there in Colorado boast the #1 rushing defense. They are consistently holding at upper 50's to mid 60' in rushing yards and a rock steady 40 to 42 yards receiving. Add in that Ricky Williams is the only back to score more than one td in a game, land or air.
Miami and KC have played two common opponents to date, NYJ and Patriots. Let's look:

 Ricky vs NYJ - 151 rush, 23 rec, 1 td
Priest vs NYJ - 152 rush, 81 rec, 2 td

 Ricky vs  NE - 105 rush,  2 rec, 0 td
Priest vs  NE - 180 rush, 18 rec, 3 td

Looks good for Priest to at least get his 100 - 120 combined and a couple of scores

WR - Who Cares Crew

Wow! A whole 6 more catches for 118 yards from the band of "oh brother". 2 more td's, which ain't shabby, but, come on, this is not where you want to looking for fantasy points.
Those big tits out there in the Rockies don't give up many aerial scores to wr. The numbers say 1 or less with just over a hundred yards. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

TE- Tony G

Everything points to a huge day for the G-man. Kenoy Kennedy suspended for the game, DD gives up almost exactly what Tony averages so look for 60 - 70 yards and at least 1, most likely 2 scores.

K- Morten AndersEn  2 fg and 4 extra points is what every block shows. Denver gives up just under 2 fg and just under 3 extra points per. Write him down for another 12 points.

Def- Coming up with nick names seems more productive than wasting time going over the numbers of this sorry lot. Feel free to join in:

Swiss Chiefs
Burnt Ends {a tribute to our BBQ fame}
Greg's Eggs {please Denver, take Robinson back}
