I'd take Brees for a couple reasons.

#1 - Brees is a more established quarterback than Bulger.  You know what you'll get, consistently, with Brees.  Bulger is still a question mark.  Remember everyone that ran out and picked up Todd Bouman in Minnesota last year when Culpepper got hurt?  They were rewarded for one game and then he fell off the map.  I expect the same with Bulger.

#2 - Defensive matchups.  Arizona defense has been decent most of the year.  Of course the loss of Aeneas Williams does make them quite a bit less effective.  The Jets defense has been awful.

I own both, go with Bulger.

1) Arizona's got a good run D.  They held  Barlow/Hearst in check last week which ain't easy to do.

2) Arizona's got a crappy pass D.   Hell Shane Matthews lit them up.

3) The Jets have no run D.  Tomlinson all the time.

4) The Jets suck.  Brees won't need to throw for more than 120 yards in this game.

Garcia/Owens had been pretty average this year until they hit the cards.  Boom 4 TD's for Garcia and a 2td/120 yard day for Owens.  Go with Bulger.

Personal biases enter my eval here {I'm a Bulger owner and a San Diego "not liker"} but neither I nor the numbers can argue razzak's post. Much more upside  this week with the Rams coming off the bye, than with Brees. Don't think you'll do worse than 2 tds and a couple hundred yards either way, so swing for the fences.

And their defense hasn't been the same since!

Thanks for pointing that out to me.  I was experiencing a bit of a brain cramp there...

thank you for the advice . I think I'm going to swing for the fences and go with Bulger. Good luck in your matchups this weekend
