Priest Holmes Backup?

Who is it?  My gut says Mike Cloud for the following reasons

1. Richardson is involved in the offense and has a role to fill already.
2. Richardson lost the job to Priest last year and has already "failed" once at the task.
3. Cloud's listed as Holmes' backup.
4. Using the STL example, when Faulk went down Trung came in and Holcombe remained the fullback.

Now this is just my reasoning and if someone told me that Vermiel said Richardson would be used I'd fully believe it because I'm not too sure of this.  Does anyone have any info on who would replace Holmes if he went down?  I'm really hoping it wouldn't be RBBC.

I've yet to hear Vermeil address this, so it's just speculation on my part, but, yes Cloud would be the one. They would however also run from a one back formation more often and T Rich would be the back in those formations. Afraid that unless Cloud really put a stamp on the job early in his replacement, it would in fact be rbbc.

If memory serves prior to the Priest era T Rich was the main weapon for the Chiefs. May be wrong but that is how I remember it.

I read it somewhere, honestly can't remember where, that if Holmes were to go down ( , no, not like that, you perves ) with an injury, Cloud would fill in.  I am sure T. Rich's touches would go up, but I think Cloud would be the main beneficiary if such a disaster were to happen.

Can we end this thread now?  Priest Holmes has to stay healthy all year long.  Let's not think about injuries here; you're scaring me.
