As the trade/waive deadling looms I have D. Jax on the pine hoping he will get healthy and return to form of last year.  I have read all I can find about him via the Gridiron newstand and all I find is he is day to day.  The question is would you waive Djax for Taylor at this point.  With Harrison,Plax,Driver and Coles(start 3) I am not really hurt at wide reaper but do not want to leave any thing on the table for my tavern league rivals.  Opinions please. .  p.s. I am 8-1 my arch rival is 7-2 so this is war at it.s most brutal level.

I would take a "chance" on Taylor at this point, as if holding on to and holding out hope for Jackson would not be taking a chance, too.  As you even implied, even if Jackson comes back, will it even be to form?  Probably not!  He did not show much before the injury and now Matt Hasselbeck is serving as his QB.  The one bright spot, in some people's opinion including mine, is that it could be Jeff George soon, though.  But, even that one dubious bright spot, does not mitigate the negatives surrounding Jackson at this point.  If Blake continues to play, Taylor might have a big close to the '02 season.  Even if Redman returns to the starting lineup, which I think he will sooner or later, I still like him and the direction he was going in before the injury MUCH more than Hasselbeck and about the same as the "checkered" Jeff George.  I'd go with Taylor!

By the way, your "arch-rival" doesn't hang out here on "the Gridiron", does he?

Right now, I like Tai Streets better than either of them.  With SF hitting KC this week, I'm starting Streets over Burress.

Hell yea, I'll go with that!  I like Tai Streets more than both Jackson and Taylor, too.  If he is still available in your league, grab him.
