New York Giants- Week Ten Analysis

The Giants travel to the Metrodome to face the Vikings and their 30th ranked defense, the same defense that made Brad Johnson look so good last week. That defense is even more banged up as lineman Chris Hovan is listed as questionable this week. The G-Men have a great chance of winning back to back games this year. However, the last time these two teams met, the Vikings got off to a good start, taking a 28-0 lead the Giants could not overcome. Quarterback: Believe it or not Ripley, but so far Kerry Collins leads the NFC in yardage with 2041 yards. He should have another good week with Fassel calling plays once again. Look for Collins to spread the ball out to some of his young, speedy recievers, to his versatile back Barber, and his tight end, Shockey. The Giants should have a good day offensively, lead by Collins. 350 yards, 2 tds, 1 int Runningbacks: Tiki Barber tweaked something in his ankle on the last carry of last Sunday nights game vs the Jags. He said it just felt kinda funny, and that nothing really hurt. He is listed as probable for this week, and he should have another week like the one he had vs Jacksonville. Ron Dayne will see more action as well, especially near the goal line. Barber: 80 rushing yards, 1 td, 75 receiving yards Dayne: 50 rushing yards, 1 td Wide Receivers: Toomer is still the go to guy here. He is geared for another solid game. Look for Ron Dixon and Tim Carter to pick up the slack for the injured Ike Hilliard. Both have looked good in practice and should have decent games. Amani Toomer: 90 yards, 1 td Ron Dixon: 50 yds Tim Carter: 40 yds Tight Ends: Jeremy Shockey has been bothered by a painful turf toe injury recently. He once again missed some practice time this week due to his toe, but will be ready to go at gametime. He should get open vs the Minnesota linebackers, and will see the end zone too! Jeremy Shockey: 50 yards, 1 td I see the Giants racking up some real good numbers this week with their offense starting to reach their potential. Giants 31, Vikings 21
