Summary:If the weather isn't too bad, I do see a KC wr having a good game, just no reason to pick one over another.

Summary:Although the match up looks brutal, when San Fran plays a team that has and uses a decent to good te, the te does well with 50 yards and 5 catches or so. San Fran just has not faced but a couple of teams that have a godd te scheme. They will this Sunday.

DEF - Uh, believe where everybody stands on this is well documented, and dammit, well deserved! 
As of right now the weather forecast for San Fran is actually for mostly sunny, 50-60 degree. They are currently getting pounded by surf and rain that is supposed to continue thru late Saturday night. Candlestick, as I'll always refer to it, has a soggy field rep as it is. Have they done much in recent years to make that rep no longer true?
If the field is ok and it's not raining, anybody else see Owens & Homes as NFC/AFC players of the week? Could be increbible numbers for those two, and good # for any number of other players.

The aftermath
Green 193 pass, 7 rush, no td, no int. With the exception of early and often to Kennison, just was not on the same page with anybody else. Give a lot of credit to San Fran's d. Pretty close to what his own numbers showed, well below what San Fran's been giving up.
Priest 51 rush, 1 td, 2 rec for 5 yds, no td. Only thing to say in Padre's defense is there were two nice runs, an 11 yd td and a 44 yd down to the 3, that were both called back on holds. The holds were legit, but arguable as to their impact on the plays. If ya like a "half full" approach to things, look at it as 106 2 tds. If "if's" and "but's" were candy and nuts...

Pleasant surprise! 8 rec for 134 yards, but no td. 
Gonzalez not so pleasant surprise. 1 rec for 6 yards. Don't believe I've ever seen him covered so well, so consistently. Kudos again to the forty fockin' niner pass d.

Maybe, "80's era savings and loan it" would have been a better statement. 2 fg and an extra point, made everything the gave him, just not the offense I've come to expect.
def 155 rushing 2 td, 173 passing 0 td. Not stellar, but from where we're starting from, very solid effort.
All in all, the 3 blocks of 3 came pretty close.
