What are the hot free agent pickups this week?

First off, I'd like to thank those that welcomed me to this board.  FYI, my fav. team is the Superbowl Champ, NE Pats. I'm quite glad I found this board, its good to see friendly people discuss fantasy football without insulting one another. I actually found it thru a link to the "Gridiron Newsstand", one of the greatest resources that a fantasy football player can have.   Links to all local newspapers that cover each team?   That's just fantastic.  Anyways, on to the topic of my post.   I play in a 14 team league with 16 man rosters.  Even finding a second wideout is pratically impossible to do.  I lucked out picking up Reggie Wayne, who I think is destined for some solid numbers in the weeks leading up to the FF playoffs.   I'm also looking at Kennison, but he seems to be an on again, off again player.   Any inklings to what might be a sleeper wideout pick this week?

yeah, all of those guys are gone by now ???.   Last year, we had 14 man rosters and an IR.   When people started abusing the IR, we decided to remove it and go to 16.   Its been tough, there are no RBs available (unless you wanted Dorsey Levens) and pratically no wideouts except for some guys that are inconsistent at best.  I'll keep looking but thanks for the response.........M

You may have already gottenthe best in Wayne. Not sure of the extent of Ismail's injury, but Wayne has taken over the number 2 spot. For what its worth, I snagged him earlier today.

Chiefs homer and local, some say loco, but Kennison and crew are just not enough of a factor in the Chiefs offense to warrant a spot. This is one I'd love to be wrong on.

Hottest WR free agent pickup is Daryl Jones..
Kerry Collins has has plenty of big yardage games and Jones should face single coverage all day with Toomer drawing a double team.

Rumor has the Giants working out Herman Moore and Yancey Thigpen.. so you know they are desperate.. Jones should get action.

Other sleepers are '
Trevor Gaylor. he looked pretty good catching a couple passes a couple of weeks ago. Shawn Jefferson is likely out and Willie Jackson has been cut and since gone to the Readskins.
Reche Caldwell, eventually the Chargers are use this guy over Dwight.. especially in the red zone.
Javon Walker, this guy will be a super stud soon. Both Driver and Glenn are fragile and Ferguson has barely seen the field in two years.

If you can start TE's
Dwayne Carswell is the starter in Denver now that Sharpe is out.. he should get looks and has to be available.

Mili has also put up yards recently.

I just wanted to address this part of the post (first at least).  Thank you, Dullo, so much for the kind words of support.  I am really looking forward to gettin' more into this ballgame, the internet manifestation of FF that is, and becoming a playa'.  I have been around since '89 and am ready to step up to the plate.  At any rate, I am a principled man with certain standards and expectations.  I look forward to the challenge of keeping this place cool and throwing out the trash at will.  I, and the small team I have assembled, should be able to keep this place "in order" as Steggie here is not wearing the "ball and chain" that is the almighty dollar.  That is not what this is about for me, and I won't go in that direction unless it is very much so on my terms.  This is a labor of love for me and I am just happy that you... all of you are enjoying it so much.  If it eventually brings me some on the way, great.  But, know that I am not and that is not what this is about.  I am much more concerned about making sure I do not put myself in a position where I am accountable to assholes, fuckin' assholes at that.  This place is for the "good" guys and expecially those who stuck it out with me here early on in the going.  Again, THANKS, bro'!
