The   week 13 play offs begin.  With the WTF reality of not knowing if Griese or Beuerlein will start I need to pick up a sure starter at qb.   The viable options are; Kitna vs. Balt.(9th vs. qb.s) or Jake the Snake @ K.C.(30th vs. qb.s).  What would you do?

throw out the match ups and I'd choose Kitna if for no other reason than to have a piece of the Chad Johnson run. There are numbers to show Kitna's the choice as well, but Plummer is several notches above score wise for the season. Everybody tends to have a list of players that they just don't want on their fantasy roster. Plummer's been on mine for several years now. fyi...Keyshawn Johnson and  Michael Pittman are two frontrunners of mine for the 2003 edition

again though, IF Beurlein shows up  big against Indy, no way Shanana   puts Griese back in.

Don't think you can take a chance on the Den. qb. mess, get Kitna.

Assuming Beuerlein doesn't play... there's no way I take Kitna going up against Baltimore... to me that's just crazy! Kitna threw 3 interceptions against Baltimore 2 weeks ago and Ray Lewis wasn't even playing.  KC is about as good as it gets for opposing QB's. Go with Plummer.

You got a problem with one of my girl's? What did JahKay do bad to you, sugar? Jake's snake has been tappin some stray to the tune of 12 int on the season,  7 in the 4 weeks.! I can't put that kinda to no use! JahKay been gettin a steady flow of repeat success with those three being it for 4 weeks. Does your Snake go all the way very often? Didn't think so! 4 tds over 4 games. Someone needs to charm that snake more often JahKay's gone round the world 10 times! 10 times on 4  job's! Your One Plumb and Done little ho, best be steppin off!

Based on a generic points system Kitna is the 4th ranked qb in the last 3 weeks, Da Snake is 16th.   Johnson and Warrick have shown a little life recently and  Jake is more or less playing by him self.  I guess I am just looking for a little peer  support on Kitna as the idea of starting a Cincy qb. not called Boomer gives me the   to name a few.

I think I'd take a flier on Kitna too. The Chefs D has been playing better lately, and Plummer has a depleted WR corps and has not looks so great the last few weeks.

Breaking News:

McNabb has decided AGAINST surgery to help his broken ankle.  The surgery is not necessary for recovery, however it could speed it by a couple weeks.  He will wear a cast for another two weeks at which time he will be re-examined.  Surgery could also take place at that time, but is unlikely.  The break was clean and was not aggravated by playing on it for 3 more quarters (although that may have led to increased swelling in the joint).

Still no ETA for McNabb's return to the Eagles.  My best guess is that we won't see McNabb until next summer.  (Unless the Eagles make it to the NFC Championship game or the Super Bowl, which is unlikely with Koy under center.)

UPDATE

McNabb still has no plans for surgery.  The break was a clean one and should heal nicely.  He is not flying to San Francisco because the team is worried about the cabin pressure and the swelling.  (Apparently it is more dangerous for McNabb to risk flying than it is to play football on the break for 3 1/2 quarters!?!)

Anyway, on ESPN.com, Mort is reporting that there is a chance that McNabb could be back in time to play the final regular season game (possibly for the division title provided the Giants stop losing to teams like the Texans).

McNabb would, apparently, be even more likely to start playoff games for the Eagles.  I don't imagine this will have many implications for fantasy leagues this year (unless you have some really funky format that I'd love to hear about).
