To be QB, or not to be QB...

OK... once again my lineup is listed below (in my footnote).

The players in CAPS are my projected starters.  I'm torn with QB again this week.  I'm looking at matchups primarily and Brad Johnson looks like a go-to-guy this weekend.

Brad Johnson @ New Orleans
Kurt Warner @ Philadelphia
Steve McNair @ New York Giants

Agree?  Disagree?

Hate to do this to ya, but Warner is the play here. :dodging objects smilie: As good as the Philly D is, over the last three games, they've given up the passing scores to the tune of no less than two, and 300+ yds in 2 of the 3. Warner looked pretty sharp most of the time last week.

Johnspn's been on a bit of a roll himself, and with your team affiliation, I could easily make that swap if the roles were reversed. Still, 1200 yards and 3 td's in what boils down to 4 games is awfully hard to sit.

We've got no idea what Feeley can do with the offense and that might mean a lot more time on the field for the Rams' O and the Philly D. Indy showed us a few weeks ago that the Philly D can be exploited at home and the Rams certainly have the firepower to do it. At 11-1 you can afford to take a chance on a huge game from Warner. Good luck.

I'd take a chance on Warner too, although I did read where his hand is still quite sore:

ST. LOUIS -- When Kurt Warner showed up with his throwing hand wrapped in a plastic bag filled with about a pound of ice Wednesday, it looked like more quarterback woes for the St. Louis Rams.

They already lost the NFL's MVP for five games with a broken pinkie, and backup Marc Bulger, who led the team to a 5-0 record in Warner's absence, was a wounded No. 3 quarterback last week with a sprained right index finger that limited his effective range to about 10 yards.

The day after the Rams' 20-17 loss to the Redskins, coach Mike Martz said Warner's hand looked like a "catcher's mitt."

But by Wednesday the swelling had gone down considerably, and the ice was more of a precaution for a player who paid a physical price after missing close to two months.

Warner threw well in practice despite the sore hand, on long balls, short balls and in-between. He didn't take any snaps, though, to minimize any jarring, and he also shared reps with Martin.

Martz said team doctors had expected soreness when Warner resumed throwing on a daily basis.

"They knew this was going to happen," Martz said. "Fortunately, it's not anything that's going to deter him from playing."

Still, Warner will be listed as probable on the injury report. Just in case.

Warner said the surgically-repaired finger didn't bother him on Sunday, when he was 34-for-49 for 301 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. But he constantly rubbed on the hand.

"It got pretty sore and I don't really know what it was," Warner said while fidgeting with the ice bag.

"It was tight. I was trying to just work it and keep it loose throughout the game."

Warner doesn't remember the hand taking a hit, but Martz believes he may have fallen on it early in the game.

I'm with the rest of the guys on this one...

Warner to me is a good start.....

Definitely more likely to throw some TD's than Brad !

This is why I love Fantasy Football!

I respect all of your decisions, but I had trouble picking against my Eagles.  I left McNair on the bench this week  ( ) and went with Brad Johnson instead.  He had a solid week for me.  Had I gone with Warner (and his whopping 2 fantasy points) I would have lost.

Please don't think this is a message to gloat and show all of you that you were wrong.  I wouldn't do that because I realize the hit-or-miss state of FF prediction and I find myself giving bad advice more often than not.

I look forward to continued advice from all of you.

By the way, my lineup has changed since last week as I cut Warner to free up a roster spot for emergency.

I have one week left in the regular season and then (hopefully) two weeks of playoffs, so he won't be ready in that time.
