I can't believe I'm about to throw support to an opposing teams qb, but there is no denying KC's de...defe... non-offensive team unit got abused by the Seahawks. The Seahwaks! I'd have to check, ok I did, and in all three, each very different, scoring systems that I play under, the Chiefs are the WORST n.o.t.u. against qb,wr,and tight end. All three! They're all the way up to only being the 5th-6th worst n.o.t.u. against runnng back. 5th-6th worst in two systems against kickers as well, although in the heavy distance scoring, against kickers, drum roll please , I give you, your , only the 12th suckiest team in the National Football League against fantasy kickers. We kick 11 other teams ass, we kick 11 other teams ass There'll be swingin' swayin', and records playin, Dancin' in the street Lost in my pitty party maybe the mesage that I think, if there is playoff on the line, unless Shanny clearly names one or the other, it's too risky to take the chance with the gift of a match-up that Plummer has. He's not that good, but THIS Sunday, he doesn't have to be to score sweet numbers.

Well, though the advice in this here post will not be popular, it will be from a guy who is putting his money where his mouth is, so to speak. This week I had to choose between Brad Johnson, Steve Beuerlein, Brian Griese and Jake Plummer and I had to do so before the 12:30 kickoff on Thanksgiving. I went with Brad and Steve while I listed Brian third and Jake fourth. It was not too long ago, the week before last, that the K.C. pass "D" really was really turning things around. What short memories we fantasy footballers tend to have! ??? Though most in here are seeing K.C.'s pass defense as the "shot in the arm" that "the Snake" needs, I see it as the exact opposite, especially given that the game is in Kansas City. This game is exactly what K.C.'s "D" needs at this time to rejuvinate that formerly new-found (talk about oxymoronic) confidence they had been gaining. Not that K.C.'s pass defense is that good, but last week's game against Seattle was an aberration, for Matt Hasselbeck as well, I might add. Regarding the Denver-San Diego game's being a defensive battle, I do not see it. I think it will be quite offensive actually, especially via the air. My reasoning for choosing to start Beuerlein over Griese (so early in the week) was that if Beuerlein starts, that probably means Griese will not play (barring injury, of course) at all; whereas, if Griese starts, and Beuerlein does not play at all, according to how we play it in the GBRFL, Griese would be in my lineup. If he were to go out and Beuerlein had to come in, then I would have Beuerlein in and I would have to hope that he got in early enough. That said, Beuerlein's numbers from two weeks ago during limited play, 2 for 2 for 15 yards and 2 TD's, were alright, given our "rotisserie-style" scoring system. Bottom line, regarding the specific query herein, I was willing to assume that risk rather than play Plummer, a player who I, a glutton for punishment, still like and have not given up on actually. It is also worth mentioning that I (obviously) like B. J. in New Orleans over Plummer in K. C., as well.
