He did not look great, but good enough to win. The story of the game as far as Maddox was concerned, was all the dropped passes. 6 or 7 by Plex alone. Ward even dropped one. Maddox looked rusty, but overall good (after the first quarter especially).
The other story was a fumble recovery (Maddox fumbled on a scramble) and an interception return for TDs by Houston.
The Pit D totally shut down Houston - I think they got 60 total yards.
Steelers moved ball well between 30s and - killed themselves with turnovers, drops, and 1 missed field goal.

Maddox liked scared/hesitant at first then relaxed. He played a solid game. Plax dropped too many passes that were catchable. Maddox will be fine...there is no contraversy.
Thanks guys. Thats what I was lookin for. I guess to put the further optimistic twist on this, sounds like Burress could have had another monster day instead of just the statistically "sound" one he had.
Yeah, but the real question is whether Plax or Ward will be Maddox's go-to guy after this week's performance by Plax. Even after those dropped balls, Maddox was still looking his way. If Maddox's job is in jeopardy, I wonder if he'll return to old reliable sure-handed Ward.
