Damn all of these equal defenses...

Gotta choose between three similar defenses this week...points for number of points against, yards against, sacks, INT's, def TD's, etc.

Carolina (at Pitt) - love the Panthers D, definitely my best.  Unfortunately, I expect that Cowher really has his thumb on Maddox not to make any mistakes this week, which means a severe reduction in turnovers, which hurts their scoring potential.

Dallas (at NYG) - has been solid this year but not spectacular.  The NYG's are playing in Jersey this week, which has pretty crappy weather.  Couple that with Collins' ability to throw the INT...not sure if this is the right route, however, given the sad state that the Cowboy offense is in.

Houston (at home vs. Baltimore) - great game last week, but can they make it two in a row?  The ineffectiveness of the Houston offense last week scares me, and the fact that the Houston D really didn't get many turnovers before last week.

Any thoughts?  I'm leaning towards Dallas, but keep flipping back and forth between the others.

Disregarding last week's performance, because it was an aberration...

I'd still go with the Texans.  I think the Ravens have the most futile offense of the three you listed and the Texans will have the potential to get some INTs.

Carolina had a great D to start the season, but has given up 31 or more points in 3 of their last 5 games. Playing on the road against (an embarrassed ) Pittsburg could spell trouble. Dallas' defense has played well, but NY's has been even better. I look for the Giants to handle the Boys' inept offense (that has failed to score more than 13 points on the road this year) and keep the Dallas D on the field. I'd go with Houston, playing at home against Baltimore, as they battle for recognition as the worst offense in the league. This game should be low scoring and I think Houston will ride the momentum wave from last weeks' big win. Good luck.

While there's very little room for "homerism" in fantasyfootball, all of us are guilty of it to varying degrees. When you get a legit shot to use homer player, such as this, you do it. Nothin' sweeter.

Inept is a damn good description of Balt offense recently   316 recieving yards to wr weeks 10-14. Take away the two Cinci games and the running games hasn't done squat. They did unload heavily on Cinci. 160 w/2 tds 134 w/2tds leaves on 210 and 0 td's to split up in the other three games. Whoopee!

Play 'em and enjoy it!

This is a tough call.  I think they stack up like this this week:  1 - Carolina, a VERY close 2 - Dallas, a distant 3 - Houston.

Dallas has kept the score low in most games this year....they always seem to come up with some turnovers, and Collins is always helping out by throwing INTs..........I say Dallas is the conservative choice....they won't be the top D this week, but they'll still do well.  The others can get you big points, or very few.

I strongly recommend starting Dallas.  Pittsburgh is going to tear Carolina up.(remember atlantas 40 point thrashing?)  and I can't even believe you would think of starting houston.  Don't forget they are an expansion team!!  One week does a season not make.

What did you end up doing?
Hopefully you stayed away from Dallas.
The first half was ugly.

Well, I wound up starting Houston, and they were the highest scoring of the three defenses (primarily since they got a defensive TD and a safety).

Thanks for the advice guys...now if I can get a scoring controversy worked out in my favor, I'll make it into the Superbowl.
