Firm Ass (aka Tight End) Dilemma

My playoff lineup is listed below.  (In the footnote Steg...)  Starters are in CAPS.

I'm set on just about everything except for TE.  I dumped Chad Lewis this week and picked up Kyle Brady and Doug Jolley.  Both have had recent stretches of productivity.

Kyle Brady has the better matchup of the two but is also listed as probable with bad ankles.  Doug Jolley is healthy, but has to fight for touches with some serious talent in Oakland.  The "fantasy experts" are all hyping Jolley as well, so he may well be cursed now.

Anyone else have some thoughts or insights?

(Also, will I have any regrets sitting McNair on MNF against the Pats?)

I want to be careful here for you, and all, but this guy falls into my "seeing is believing" category. Here in KC, we've gotten at least parts of the last two Raider games. The kid is good. Don't know much about him, background wise, but I picked him up, after his "down" jets game, and went ahed and used him last week. Sweet surprise. But my decision involved Ernie Conwell. Easier call in my book. Brady has scored td's in3 of the last 4 and goes against Cinci who has given up td's in 3 of the last 4. Miami does not give up td's to the te {tony g excepted} but regulary has the te involved against them, just apparently not in the endzone.

finally: here's some target numbers

Kyle Brady JAC 55 5 3 3 5 6 5 1
Doug Jolley OAK 32 7 6 6 5 3 3 0

that first number is total targets, followed by total redzone targets, followed by latest week's receptions, then the last 4 weeks of targets{descending}, and finally last weeks red zone targets.

Bottom line Jolley is "for real"   , but if it looks like Brady will go, go Brady.

Before I read the "fantasy experts part I would have said Jolly was a no brainer.  Has he done a chunky soup commercial?    Seems like the ex-spurts have been the kiss of death for a lot of sleepers at least this year.  Having said that, I would start Jolly due to up side compared with Brady.

Go with Jolley.  Those look like yearly stats, and Jolly hasn't done anything until the last 5 weeks.  He's hot, go with him for now.

I despise the TE position in FF!  I swear every year that I will get in only leagues that do not require a TE starter, but always seem to keep doing it (somewhere, deep inside, I must enjoy this pain).   I would go with Jolley this week and hope his recent success continues.

Another vote for Jolley. Brady is not practicing this week, but is expected to play.??? Jolley is healthy and coming off a huge game. Go with the hot, healthy player. As for sitting McNair, don't sweat it. Detroit will have big problems moving the ball and Johnson will have plenty of chances. Good luck.

Thanks for the help guys.  I was really leaning towards Brady - 3 TDs in 4 games.  Playing Cincinnati this weekend.

I'll give Jolley a go this weekend.  I was hesitant because I looked at TE production against Miami since week 10 and only one TE (Stephen Alexander - SD) had a decent game.  Against every other opponent, the TE was held scoreless in fantasy-land.

Halfway through the 4th Q, it looks like Jolley was the better choice.  Both are getting some catches, but Jolley is already up over 60 yards.

Damn Brad Johnson is going to kill me.  I need huge games from Holmes and Portis.
