EAGLES Week 15 Analysis
« on: Dec 13th, 2002, 11:15pm »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

This is the second meeting for the Eagles and Skins.  They met in the second week of the season, with the Eagles traveling to DC and laying a 37-7 thumping on the Skins on MNF.  Things have certainly changed for both teams since that time.  The Skins are not going to the playoffs and are getting PT for their younger guys. The Eagles are playing their youngest QB out of necessity.

QB:
Feeley gets the start once again as McNabb still is a few weeks away at a minimum and Detmer isn't quite ready yet.  Feeley has been solid, if unspectacular.  Expect the Skins D to pressure him (unlike previous opponents).

Feeley - 160 Pay, 15 RuY, 1 TD, 1 INT  {11}

RB:
Eagles had a decent rushing attack in the first game with Levens breaking a long TD run.  The rushing attack has improved since that game.

Staley - 75 RuY, 50 ReY, 1 TD  {18}
Levens - 40 RuY, 10 ReY  {5}

WR:
Thrash was the receiver of note in the first game, but Pinkston has come on recently.

Pinkston - 60 ReY, 1 TD  {12}
Thrash - 30 ReY, 20 RuY  {5}

TE:
Lewis managed only 1 catch for 14 yards in the first outing.  He has been relative unproductive lately.

Lewis - 20 ReY  {2}

K:
Akers=Stud

Akers - 2-2 XP, 3-3 FG  {12} - He'll get a 50+ yarder.

Defense:
Plenty of play-makers here.  Should get some sacks and force Ramsey into an INT or 2.

Defense - 275 YA, 16 PA, 4 Sacks, 2 INT, 1 FF

FINAL SCORE:
Eagles 23
Skins 16

Eagle's kept a rollin' all night long

Since you're giving away 50 yarders, I may have to take you up on that Mort for Akers advise.  Unfortunately for me, Philly kicks off at noon, kc at 3. Drat!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'...

So tell the truth - did you go with Akers or Mort?  Akers outscored him 10-6 this week even without a 50 yarder.

Oh yeah! in the one where I had both, Akers was my starter. Akers owes me a fifty! I'll take it this Sunday, please!?!
