Bit of a pet peeve of mine. Gruden, imnho, had little to nothing to do with Gannon's success. The skills were there, obvious to all but Carl Peterson, while he was with the Chiefs. It was to late to undo the damge done with the contract Grbac already had in place. Hated to see Gannon go, but there was no choice when looked at as a business move. Gruden inherited an already peaking player. As to if BJ can duplicate that, I'd bet against it. He's more of a Brian Griese/Jake Plummer, than a Rich Gannon. Could happen, but Gannon's case is really more of a oddity of him getting so much better later than most. That says it's possible, so BJ has that to shoot for, but the odds of that striking twice, so close. I'll pass. I just don't see myself ranking him high enough to be my qb1, and I doubt he'll last long enough to even think about as a qb2. Keep in mind I'm a stubborn old fart from Missouri. The Show Me State. Let Brad put up back to back top seasons and I'll begrudingly admit I pegged him wrong.
