Stegs trade post caused me to wonder who will be the Qb in Sea. in o3. Hasselbeck put up serious numbers later on in the season but I have heard nothing about Dilfer. any one have the info?
Holmy is no longer the GM in SEA. I do think that he realizes though that it nice to have solid backups in that area now. I think they will keep both. Dilfer signed a 4 yr deal for like 3-4 M a year, so his price is reasonable and may take a pay cut. Hassy on the other hand hit incentive clasues and will get a raise next year. The team can opt for a 1, 2 or # yr extension on him. I think the will carry him for 3 more yrs. He has taken a bit longer to develop, but has skills. I think there will open competition for the starting job next year. If you have 1 of them i would go get the other. Dilfer will be the cheaper of the 2 IMO.
Same situation in St.Louis with Bulger and Warner. Warner came back from injury, started, stunk the place up, and ruined the StL "playoff run" they were having.
I don't think Holmgren and Seattle are as stupid as the so-called genious, Mike Martz...
