Redskins | Thompson Note - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com) 8:07 PT: The Washington Times reports the Washington Redskins have to make a decision soon whether or not to re-sign WR Derrius Thompson. Although he initially appeared a suspect fit for coach Steve Spurrier's system, he was extremely productive by season's end. The Redskins have until March 4 to work out a long-term deal for Thompson or he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Spurrier has said he would like to re-sign Thompson, but some in the Redskins organization appear to be infatuated with bringing in a free agent like Buffalo WR Peerless Price.
Gee, I wonder who that "some in the Redskins organization" would be!
The Chiefs don't have much of a history when it comes to landing the top fa wide recievers, but I'd love to have Price wearin' red. Too many other needs elswhere to make a serious offer.
