Gannon next year!

What do you guys think of Gannon next year? I have him in a keeper league, but am thinking I shouldn't keep him. He had a monster year, but can he do it again. The Raiders downright refuse to run the ball. Hell he had 4800 yards this year and they were winning. With th ecap problems they have, they may play from behind more and will still throw it. I could probably get a top 3 WR or a RB like Barber, Taylor, instead. There will be a lot of other QB's available like Pennington, Green, Bledsoe, Brady, etc.. I have Alexander already. I just see that everyone has him ranked so low and I don't know why??  ??? I know it's early, but the wheels are turning. Any thoughts and opinions welcome!

This a a tough situation to be in.  However, since it is a keeper league, if you could get a top 3 WR, I would take it.

Well, first off, I am not one of those people down on Gannon for next year as per my post on our "Early QB Rankings" thread right here on "the Gridiron":

Given that, I would tend to say to hold to him.  I just have a weird feeling about quarterbacks for next year.  I think there is going to be some defying of the norm and normal rules we usually follow.  There is a top tier of quarterbacks for next year that I see making or breaking champions.  I really do not know why I have this feeling.  In any event, I firmly believe Gannon is among them and, as such, more valuable than any receiver, or running back of the caliber of Tiki Barber or Fred Taylor, especially since you already have Alexander.  I suppose there is one big question that remains, though.  How many do you keep?  If you only keep two, then I think going in with Gannon and Alexander is way better than going in with Alexander and either of those running backs you mention or the like!  Now, if you keep more, I would need to know how many more and what the rest of your roster is like to form a more cogent conclusion.

You need to keep good old Dick. He will be huge again next year and those other QB's have may question marks. You don't want your season hinging upon Trent Green. You should know that a WR is out of the question, especially in our league. Plus, I need to know what you are doing for my upcoming mock drafts.

Keep Gannon around for one more year, then trade him away, if possible, the week before the season ends for an up and coming QB, unless of course, you need him if you're still in playoff contention, if that's the case trade him away as soon as the season ends.

Atleast that's what I would do.
