Terrell Davis to be in uniform this season

It appears Terrell Davis is looking to work out a contract with the Broncos, and may be in uniform THIS season.
 
My questions and doubts are?
 
What happens to Portis? Does Anderson get moved out of the FB spot and Terrell Davis take over that spot? That'll be stupid since Anderson has the build for a FB.
 
What's the point of Terrell Davis making a come back, to the Broncos? Any other team would be fine, but Portis has shown the skills to be among Tops in the league. If Davis comes back into uniform, does this hurt Portis' Fantasy Draft Position?

Terrell won't be in uniform.  
 
Terrell just restructed his deal to save the team cap room.  It allows the team short term cap relief.  It takes his contract cap hit and puts it a few years from now when the Broncos are in better salary cap shape.
 
This does leave the door open for a comeback.....but it ain't gonna happen.

I fully believe his body can't handle any more work.  His legs are done.  Retire man, and start reviewing that college education I hope you got.

I dunno, just going by what the article said.
 
 
Terrell Davis could be back in a Denver Broncos uniform in 2003. The former Pro Bowl running back has agreed in principle on a contract and hopes to finalize a restructured deal Wednesday to to keep him on the roster until at least June, ESPN.com's John Clayton is reporting.
